Urban was given carte blanch. The Jags owner went out on a branch. It’s what happens with wealth.. Owners can’t get fired. There’s always their loyal NFL UK fans.

Not even close to that bad

Starts at the top too. What is Khan doing on draft day. His son the same. Are they too involved with draft day decisions and other decisions in terms of personnel

I would hire a guy like Leftwich or possibly Caldwell. As they need somebody who can maximize Trevor Lawrence. Thats the next head coaches job - get the best out of Lawrence

The guys who come in as impersonal ass kickers and disciplinarians,.....they don't last long during any era.

Is Belichick one of those few assholes who has succeeded? Jim Brown talks about how Belichick was one of the few to go to the inner city and talk to the youth in one of his programs.

Interesting write up on "Urban Liar"

Urban Meyer's bullying style may have worked in college, but it proved to be a disastrous fit in the NFL.

            5. Finally, it was Urban Violence when Meyer kicked the kicker
After his night club incident, he apologized to the team during a meeting. Once he left the room, the entire room started laughing at him.
            He heard their laughter.

He was disrespected way back then. His loss of his version of authority is probably what lead to his erratic behavior.
Hard to go to work when you are not respected.

I like "Urban Decay" better...with Tommy Lee Jones as Urban:

Hard to figure out why he was given the huge contract, given that this was his M.O. coming out of college.

Give credit to the Spanos (blech!) at least for that much......they don't go for the ass kicker types like Urban Meyer or Brian Daboll.

Lovable mike reily, grandfatherly Marty, uncle Norv, milktoast mike mccoy, inspirational leader of men A Lynn,, Brandon Staley.

Don't know how anyone here wanted him as our HC. Just by his actions of always quitting you could tell he was a turd. He didn't quit and immediately get another job as the reason.

                  Just a turd.

Actually, there WERE a few people in this forum who wanted Urban. Look through the comments, and they're there:

BB is a one-off, maybe only one of his 'tree' that works is Mike Vrabel. However, I think he's more of an asshole to the media on game prep, but if you ask him about anything else, he'll talk your ear off, according to many writers. He's gained respect with players, mostly because he has actually won championships, and does focus on performance. Seau and Harrison loved the guy, but some said they couldn't wait to get out of NE. However, I'm not sure how far he would have gone without Brady. But looking at how they are doing with Mac Jones, maybe his system works.

I think BB will make time for intelligence and intelligent conversations, but sometimes in the media sessions he gets asked a lot of unintelligent questions and it saps his patience.

US NFL fans appreciate UK NFL fans. You got royally ripped off. On behalf of us here to Jags fans, sympathies and apologies. You deserve better from a US export.
