Trade only If we can save our 2nd rounder
Try to trade a 1st and 4th (But pretty sure Det will ask for a 1st and a 3rd at least and that is the highest price I would pay)
Wash drafts Young I can see Det trading down and still drafting Def LB & CB at #6 (everyone wins)
Here's my fear with Tua: We pick him at #6, or worse, we give up a couple of high picks to move up for him, then he gets hurt early on. Then, after a long rehab, he comes back, plays well for a few games, then gets hurt again. Kind of like Lamp, yet there were no injury red flags with Lamp. But there are MULTIPLE injury red flags with Tua. Sorry...PASS...

Well, there is this from yesterday's Bleacher Report:

    image.png
NFL draft prospect Tua Tagovailoa reportedly has not experienced a loss of blood flow in his previously injured hip.  Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reported the news, noting the Alabama product's broken hip has healed...

We shall continue monitoring his progress as we get closer to the combine and draft.

You know that, and have irresponsibly left that out here.

Of course there is some cause for concern, which is why TT will be diligent.

Arm strength gets conflated with arm talent.

The only issue with Tua is health...c'mon man.

    Screw this.
    Screw everything.
    Screw everyone.

I'll just take James Morgan in round 6.

Ability? No rocket arm there, and I don't see him as an athletic runner anymore...why do people think he has a great arm...his deep ball resume is anemic...don't see a ton of touch throws either...
Size-You didn't list this one. He is small...that can be overcome, but by him? I don't know...he has a lot of injury miles already, and just coming out of college.

Don't get me wrong...a warrior, and I don't question his mettle or leadership...but tough? He didn't hold up in college, how will he do in the pros...mentally tough, yes...physically? Only so much he can play thru...prefer a guy who isn't playing thru anything...
All of this. Don't let your judgement get clouded by where he played and who he played for.

While there's no doubting Tua's talent, when you look at his injury history, and especially that last serious hip injury, it's several red flags following by a BIG red flag. Look at all of Tua's injuries so far:

March 2018: Tua Tagovailoa breaks his finger

October 2018: Tua Tagovailoa suffers knee injury

November 2018: Quad injury keeps Tua out of a game

December 2018: Tua Tagovailoa injures his left ankle

Against Tennessee, Tua Tagovailoa suffers another ankle injury

November, 2019: Tagovailoa suffered a dislocated hip with a posterior wall fracture

On that last injury, there's more cause for concern:

"It’s the potential complications that make predicting a complete or full recovery back to pre-injury conditions difficult to determine at the moment.

“The thing that makes it uncertain is that when the hip dislocates and it fractures off part of the cup part of the hip joint,” Lowe explained Saturday, “(and) sometimes it disrupts the blood supply to the end of the femur — the lower leg part of the hip joint.”

That is what is called avascular necrosis (AVN) and is what forced legendary Auburn running back Bo Jackson to retire from both football and baseball in the early 1990s, and eventually led to severe arthritis and the need for a hip replacement at the age of 29."

Sorry, Tua looks like damaged goods to me, with a high likelihood of injury in the future.

this... a lot of play-makers on defense gets you turnovers especially on the oppositions side of the 50. That will win you a ton of games and actually make the chargers exciting again. We can get competent QB play if we fix the oline and maintain RB talent which helps any QB tremendously.

The 49ers have an elite OL and an elite DL and they could not beat the chiefs because their QB was not elite........

Last Superbowl, the NE defense have muzzled the dangerous Rams attack.
It's no more true that defense wins championship ?
sorry but that is not true..... Defense does not win championships.... defense se keeps you in the game..... defense keeps the games close enough for an elite QB to win you the game..... look at SB history........ look at the QB's....... and elite QB's are the only way to repeat as champions or contenders.....
