We need another OG regardless if Clary is active or not because Troutman apparently isnt the answer and Clary hasnt been that great either. Fluker at RT is still an pgreade to Clary at RT. Clary stunk there. So maybe you miss Clary,..... i sure as fuck dont.....just like i dont miss Suckhurst.Dean Spanos Should Get Ass Cancer Of The Ass!

As I have explained many times, I think PFF grades are unreliable in general, but Clary is one of those rare cases where his performance was graded so badly against the run that Clary just about had to have been at least some bad against the run (unless you believe that PFF was more than net 21 points off in one direction over the season). Clary versus the run was the rare PFF grade that was more reliable for general direction because it was so extremely negative.
And, on the other side (where all of these supposed back side screw ups were happening) was Dunlap, who if memory serves, was more than +20 for the year (our best OL by a mile), who had a grade that, because it was so extreme (in the opposite direction) was also reliable as to direction.
So, the theory that was floated is likely not accurate. It's not impossible for PFF to have been more than net 20 off for each of these players, but it is highly unlikely.

It was a bad call plain and simple, no matter how you slice it. The ref should have tried to follow the rules. They are there for a reason.Dean Spanos Should Get Ass Cancer Of The Ass!

I'm sorry I went to bed and missed all the drama in the "unsung hero" thread before it was closed. Fwiw, I think Oliver is a perfectly reasonable choice for unsung hero of the game, as his gutsy running especially on short receptions kept some drives alive. Not that we really needed it yesterday against the Jaguars secondary, but he did run tough and did his job, and it's precisely this sort of thing which we'll need against our next 3 opponents.
Also, and I mean no disrespect to any of the admins, but is it not possible not to close threads just because they get out of hand? Despite OIP's little rant, there were valid points by chris9341 and others I would have liked to have had the opportunity to respond to (without going rogue and posting in another thread). It's not the first time I've wanted to respond to something and couldn't because the thread was deemed too toxic to keep open. Just my 2 cents, I promise not to have a hissy fit about it either way. Thanks!Adipose
