I'd love to see both Royal and Flowers come back. Royal has been a great slot receiver for us and has definitely developed some chemistry with Rivers (the Cards game aside). I love his attitude and he seems like the exact kind of team first guy that fits our team culture.

Love the work ethic Royal seeimingly brings, but there's no way I overpay for his services. I won't say he's easily replaceable, but he can certainly be replaced via the draft. Priority for me is Dunlap, Flowers, and probably Wright this offseason. I would rather go after Randall Cobb this offseason if he hits FA.

I'd consider drafting a true LT and start him at LG for a year or two keep Dunlap on a reasonable salary assuming a backup roll in two or three years. But as River ages I would spend cash money to protect him better.

Is this going to turn into a Fluker moves to OG thread?

There's simply no need for a top tier LT IMO. Dunlap has been more than serviceable and is still young. We just need to improve our interior line, but that can be done via 2nd/3rd round picks or FA.

I didn't say top tier, I said draft the eventual replacement and offer King 3-4 year contract. Expecting King to start for at least a year or two...

                    Then bring his replacement up.

Or have him start at LG...

I know the Chargers are playing great football because... FOX Sports LATAM has been broadcasting their games every sunday down here in Mexico.... this is a rare thing...

And for the record Tijuana is not Mexico, there is more.

Schein wrote a very nice article about the Chargers (I was kind of shocked that he didn't mention the glaring YPC elephant in the room), but it's way too early for all of the accolades in it IMO. We haven't gotten to the meat of our schedule yet. Maybe the 40 years of being a Charger fan has severely tempered my enthusiasm?

Bullish on the San Diego Chargers all offseason, Adam Schein feels even better about this team five games into the 2014 season. Do Antonio Gates and Co. have what it takes to contend? You bet!
