Xenos, I take acceptation to this part of the analysis - Herbert, on the other hand, had talent around him.

I'm a Ducks fan. I watched pretty much ever game the Ducks played for the past several years. This years Ducks had a bunch of butterfingered receivers. Johnson was the only one that could catch. He did have a good OL and a good RB but a QB needs WR's that can catch.

I don't claim to know if Herbert will make it in the NFL or not but I sure am pulling for him. Before he was ever a Duck, he was a Duck fan and before he was ever a Charger, he was a Charger fan!

Yeah there certainly seems to be misconceptions about Herbert’s supporting cast with only Sewell being the exception.

Edit: also scheme and coaching played a heavy role as well in his collegiate development.

I like it too partly because it’s ironic
              in that he’s a mellow, down-to-earth personality
tasked with leading a flashy LA powder blue Chargers team
              G-Ro knows.

So has Tyrod officially won the starting job?

All the camp highlights one thing that stood out to me was Tyrod does not throw a spiral. Always wobblers, while Herbert has a tight spiral and zip and depth. I really want to see this kid play. Just wonder if he's done enough in camp. I doubt it considering the covid situation. No pre-season games. I just don't like Tyrod winning the starting job by default.

really? i thought most of tyrod's highlights showed a nice spiral with good catchability to his passes.

Not me. If I had to guess I would say 1 outta 3 are spirals.

                        Opposing defenses are EXPECTING spirals...
                        our offense will be revolutionary

ANYTHING to win! If it requires throwing ducks...hell throw Justin in there. He used to be a Duck. It'll be a Duck tossing ducks...for wins!
