Horn's quite probably gone by the early 20's. A middle 3rd round pick isn't enough ammo to move up there.

Throw in one of our 6th rounders to sweeten the pot...

Good idea but I’d be shocked if TT gives up any draft capital this year. This is one of the more talented draft classes I’ve seen in 20 years. And we need butts to fill roster spots.
Our quarterback is a golden god.

True dat. We've let a lot of guys go, or they've chosen not to re-up with us: HH, Mr. Elite, Lamp, Feeney, Tevi, Ingram, Perryman...

Yeah, unfortunately I think we shoulda ponied up for Jonnu Smith. Coulda afforded him and still got all the other guys (minus Cook, obviously).

Popper from The Athletic just issued his latest mock.
              1. Lawrence
              2. Wilson
              3. Lance (Broncos in a trade up)
              4. Fields
              5. Sewell
              6. Chase
              7. Waddle
              8. Pitts
              9. Smith (Dolphins in a trade down)
              10. Farley
              11. Surtain
              12. Paye
              13. Slater
This is an utter dream scenario for the Chargers. They beefed up their offensive line with two big free-agent signings — center Corey Linsley and guard Matt Feiler — and the biggest remaining hole up front is at left tackle. Slater would slide in as the immediate starter there, replacing Sam Tevi. The Chargers would have a tough decision to make if Slater is off the board. They could go with Virginia Tech’s Christian Darrisaw, the more prototypical tackle, or USC’s Alijah Vera-Tucker, who some believe will project better as a guard. In this mock, they do not have to decide. Slater, the second-best tackle prospect in the class, falls. And the Chargers add even more talent to an offensive line that was among the worst in football last year, which improves both the protection in front of Justin Herbert and the efficiency of their running game.

Maybe TT is now waiting for all the coupon shopping specials to come in...with the glut of players on the market, now that most of the high-priced FA's have signed, a lot of teams in salary cap hell are going to be making lowball offers to the leftovers...if TT can make a slightly higher than lowball offer to a few of these guys, then he may be able to sign some bargains...

Elway: I can’t find a qb, I give up, YOU try

Bronco’s new GM: let’s trade the farm for one.

                  Elway: you’re HIRED!!

There’ll also be a few gems who’ll get cut after the draft and before pre season. Sometimes prospects fall into GMs’ laps and they are forced to cut viable players at that position. There were a few last year.

Popper has been seen wielding a flame thrower and issuing threats.

                        Daniel has gone full Trencher.

                        He's insane.
