Please pardon my ignorance but what is an RAS score?
You guys seem rather impressed by it so I'm assuming it's a good metric to have a perfect score on?

Has nothing to do with ability to block, just an athletic score. Which is nice too for agility, strength, quickness and such but it dont have anything to do with hand placement, or punch, toughness, playing with an attitude, taking plays off or just wanting to kick the guys ass in front of you lol. But it is a nice metric.

Purely from what i see it is an athletic score.

Its kind of like its telling you LT is a great athlete, fast, etc....but it dont tell you if he has bad vision, goes down easy on first contact and such and drops passes he shouldnt. (not that he ever had those negatives, just an example)

Thats how i see it anyways.

RAS = relative athletic score

Just a metric to show how athletes compare vs position group.
As jolt says above has nothing to do with how well a prospect plays football.
It shows athletic potential to backup what they show on game tape.

Ninja, I like the players in your sig mock, but are you comfortable playing Sp. Brown at LT as a rookie? Or are you envisioning picking up a 1 year gap deal with a vet?

Brown is one of my favorite prospects in this draft, but not sure he’s ready to see the field on week 1.

Yes, I’d bet on him being gone by #77.

In fact, I’d probably take Sp. Brown at #77 even if we did draft a OT at #13.

Larnel Coleman is becoming more and more interesting to me. Besides having 36” ARMS, he did not disappoint on his pro day.

He made a big impression in the Independence Bowl last year vs Miami. In 2020, the UAB game too. I think he’s a perfect fit for 3-4 DE.
