Random thought but I have Olave as a better fit for us over Jameson or any other WR
dude has an elite understanding of the position
Nuanced game
Nose for the endzone
And is the perfect compliment to what we have

Jameson is a slightly better deep threat and athlete
with perhaps higher upside
But depends more on his speed and isn't the route runner Olave is.

Olave is my guy if we go WR at 17

This is solid...dont 100 percent agree, but kudos...

Your getting some YAC and a little more "downfield danger" with JW...but Olave is basicly younger, faster KA...if a weapon is what they want, couldnt pan either pick.

I made a piss-poor analogy of ball control. I want the Chargers to be able to exert their will in the running game in the 4th Quarter. I've no issue with either Cross nor Penning at RT. I would be content in a RT in Rounds 1-3.

I think the price is outrageous, but if he's even better than Slater, it's a trade I'm going to entertain.

I don't want to jump the hype train but yes, he gets open consistently like diggs.
just think he's a better fit for us.

No, Staley is much too intelligent to do that. Staley understands what Lynn did not. A team does not control the clock by running the ball. A team controls the clock by getting first downs, which means passing if that is the best way to get a first down. BTW, good RTs are also useful when a team passes the ball.

Not sold on Olave’s route running as some are, I think his greatest asset is speed. JWill has a more complete route tree at this point IMO. Burks isn’t the greatest route runner either but I’d rather have him over Olave (but would be happy with any of them at 17, really).
