Yep...one of my thoughts also...I think they use Woods, with his 6-2 length, to cover TE's...with his 4.37 speed, to play outside corner, and with his range, to play split deep safety with Nas...I think Woods is the kind of flexible player Staley wants for different packages...

Woods definitely isn’t getting burned deep over the top when we bracket long-speed receivers.

I don’t think this pick is a commentary on Webb. They’re different types of safeties.

I think Staley likes his safeties in all shapes and sizes, like a basketball team.
Our quarterback is a golden god.

Too bad we didn't get Jelani Woods as our "Woods".

                Why no ASJ?

To be fair, you can say the same thing about most of JC Jackson’s turnovers as well.

Jesus I hope not, this pick should push Vato to the bench, keep ASJ on the field at all costs.

But we still have a huge need at RT.

Unless you scouted this guy yourself before today with at least 15 minutes of game film, calling him a bust because of something you read on Bleacher Report is a bit hasty.

This guy has NFL traits, unlike Craig Mager. Watch some flm, sleep on it, watch some more.
