we've traded more for less before (Melvin Gordon comes to mind) and so it would cost us our 3rd to trade up to 17 (Pittsburgh) for Bijan.
I'd be comfortable if we did because that tells me staley and company see a large gap between Bijan and anyone who can feasibly be there at 21 by that time and that's very plausible imo.
I think Philly does us a favor and drafts him at 10 and if not Philly Tennessee at #11.

Watch this interview and tell me he and herbert aren't going to be BFFs if he's a Charger.
same stoic yet down to earth responses, same family background with playing sports everyday with his older brother, same confidence and energy.

I like him too. I think it really depends on what we get in round 1. If we get RB or TE I see us addressing the DL, Edge or even CB in 2. But Kellen could convince them to double dip offense I am sure. Because the best offense is a great offense.

I’d be more comfortable with that than if i just bought a pair of his n hers King Size MyComfort2 pillows!!! In a heartbeat, do it.

Bijan is +4 wins, aka LT 2001 vs 2000, maybe more since he and our OL are better

A very good (and long) article on the risks of drafting a RB in the first round:

Less risk than a QB if you ask me. Teams will draft Levis and Richardson high in round one and they aren't worthy.

At least you will get 5 good years out of Robinson and then perhaps not resign him, but could.
I don't think you are gonna get ONE good year out of Levis or Richardson.
And if we get Bijan it won't be in the top 10. It will be trading up to maybe 17 or he falls to 21, which I doubt

Teams will gamble on hitting a HR with a QB, even with a high likelihood of it failing. But the gist of the article is not about QBs, but about how RBs drafted high just aren't worth it. Robinson would be a great Charger but I suspect he is gone by the time we pick and I'm starting to think we go for edge/DT with our first pick.

Built into every take from this crowd
is the idea that Bijan is the next LT
                      and
Kinkaid is the next Travis Kelce.

That would give us a better record,
but would it give us a Lombardi Trophy ?
We do not play modern football.

Why should we draft a high production type weapon,
(just go down your list of favorites)
instead of a specialized tool or two,
to round out our roster ?
That is not smart. Our playmakers have proven that while they might have moments of elite play, they are not difference-makers in big games. New weapons are required in modern football.
