They aint too stupid down in Texas...Now they need a really good QB coach to help him out.

Ekeler is a really superb player at what he does best. But his best does not include being a between the tackles power runner that can punish defenses pounding the rock. And that is what this offense really needs.

Can anyone explain to me why Mayer would be a better choice at #21 than Sam 'the tank' Laporta.
One is a Golden Domer, the other plays with a crappy qb at the less glamorous school, Iowa.

LaPorta had a lot of drops. Still, I think he's darn good and I wonder if the drops were more to blame on the QB?

I also see him as an average blocker and I think Mayer is a good run blocker.

But, I'm just an old fan, not a scout so take my thoughts with a grain of salt.
