Slater, agree is excellent when healthy
Johnson is a starter, but is streaky...hopefully improves this next season...

Overall, agree that Slater-Zion-Salyer looking a lot better than Lamp-Feeney-Q-Berry...
      bruh

Salyer is a home run 6th round pick

Sounds kind of weird calling a fifth rounder a bust, but I think it’s an accurate moniker for jaimes, if for no other reason than a fifth round OL pick should be quality depth on a roster, ATM he isn’t, guy had a 26 PFF grade on 18 snaps and it looked like he was neither checked in mentally or that his body had been properly conditioned to play…I think that 5th round salary combined with all the awesome food LA has to offer was too much for a kid that had been living in nebraska for 4 years…

if he hadn’t been drafted, I think jaimes would’ve been a preseason roster cut, I hope he dedicates himself this offseason because it didn’t look like he did in the 2022 offseason…if he doesn’t come in fit this offseason, I think his days on the roster are numbered, at least they should be…

Okay, Salyer was a steal...but not sure he can hold up at T...maybe he proves me wrong...looks more like a solid G to me...let him take Feiler's spot...

My first mock draft using a simulator this season…I think I traded down with cincy or buffalo, can’t remember but I picked up an additional late 3rd rounder…got that run stuffing enforcer we’re missing on D-line since jamal, doubled up on 4.3 speed WRs, got a center of the future and a well rounded TE for herbert…I also picked up edge and linebacker depth and my favorite player in this year’s draft duece vaughn who can be a return specialist special teams guy to start and maybe even have a small package of plays on offense as a gadget weapon…the kid reminds me of little train james for some reason…

                I like your mock man.

Jaylin Hyatt has to be drafted by us.

I like Duece Vaughn another Austin Eckler.

I also like Mike Bobo UCLA big tight end wide receiver. With Herbert. You want guys like this. Didn’t really play with a great throwing Quarterback didn’t put up the best stats. But kind of reminds me of a poor man Mike Evans. Big receiver.

we just gotta try to come out of this draft with our Jamar Chase. We all talk about how we want Herbert to be Burrow. The biggest thing I think I see with Burrow is he has Jamar Chase. He has his Jerry Rice. We need to make sure we get that.

Cincy said fuck lineman we think this receiver is a hall of famer we are drafting him and look at them back in the AFC championship.

Cincy made a big investment in OL. I thought Burrows was going to die last year he was hit so often.
It's way early to compare Chase to Rice but he is a quality WR.
Burrows wishes he could throw like Herbert who holds all the records for young QBs.
Not arguing against WR, I'd like one with size, speed early.
BPA at 21. Hyatt might be the guy.

I think he's an OG who can fill in at OT. Actually we know he can play LT but have yet to see him at OG. Nice to have options
I'm in no hurry with Jaimes. We need depth and developing later picks is good I'm fine with the coaches decisions. We have the best Chargers OL in @ 20 years.

Since 2019 these are the O-line investments in the draft for Cincy and the LAC

2019 jonah williams OT #11 overall pick round 1, OG michael jordan #136 overall pick round 4

2020 hakeem adeniji OT #180 6th round (he’ll be starting RT vs KC in AFC championship)

2021 jackson carman OT #47 overall pick round 2 (was starting LG but will start at LT vs KC in AFC cjampionship), trey hill C #190 overall round 6

2022 cordell volson OT #136 overall round 4

                      that’s a 1st, a 2nd, two #4s, and two #6s in the last 4 drafts

by comparison, we drafted pipkins in 2019 (rd 3), nobody in 2020, slater (rd 1) and jaimes (rd 5) in 2021, and then johnson (rd 1) and salyer (rd 6) in 2022

So five O-Linemen for LAC vs six for Cincy in 4 years…if Cincy doesn’t draft OL in 2023 and we draft 1 OL we’ll catch up to them over a five year period…

I’m not sure why you think Cincy hasn’t invested in OL, thing is some of their guys have taken time to develop (sound familiar) that’s why they had to sign 2-3 veterans in the last offseason because joe burrow was getting killed!

I want those folks suggesting we let pipkins walk to remember that shit, slater, johnson, and salyer are an anomaly not the norm, you can’t put herbert in the situation to have yet another rookie starting on O-line, this coming season can be the first that he has veteran guys along the whole front if they sign trey to an extension…

^^ we’ve drafted OL #1 our last 2 drafts. We also signed the highest priced FA center. Our investment in OL is equal to or exceeds Cincy. They’ve also invested heavily in WR TE and RB using 1st and 2nd round picks for all their guys. That’s where the dog is buried as they say

I'm not a draftnik but Hyatt is really projected to go that late?? I thought for sure he would be a 1st Rounder. He'd certainly provide the deep threat that we need. Also, it'd be cool for me, because he went to high school about 5 miles from my house.
