I think the problem with Ekeler is that as a #1 RB is overall yards are really low. He is a TD machine when they are close to the goaline but struggles to get yards when they are needed, IMHO.

Ekeler was 7th in total yards from scrimmage in 2022 and 6th in 2021, about 1,600 yds each of those seasons. Yes, he is not a great pound and round between the tackles RB, which is what this offense desperately needs. I'm at the point where I wouldn't object to mortgaging this year's and next year's draft to move up for Bijan Robinson, a really good TE, and a really good and fast WR. Adding the right players at these three positions this season would set up the Chargers as a top 3 or 4 team for the next many years.

that is smart.... elite players are rare......and he is elite..... and is a player who will touch the ball alot....never hurts to add elite players.....

I would love Bijan to drop to Chargers pick because he is elite and would give the chargers the first complete every down RB we have had since LT..... and would help us manage clock and close out games and force 8 man boxes.... leaving our receivers single covered..... only time we ever beat bellycheat was when we had a healthy LT. who ran all over them.... that being said some team will draft him long before he gets to chargers.... lol

if reid or bellycheat were making decisions for this team thenI would not be woried about trading down...... for those who like the idea of trading out of the first, name more than ONE pro bowl or all pro player drafted by TT after the first round (KA might be only one)???.... in over a decade, TT has been horrible at selecting players after the first round and his only hits in first round were extremely obvious BPA's that even fans would have selected......

Darafting at 21 means we need to stay there and take BPA at DE, CB, WR, TE......

maybe 21 is a lucky number and we get super lucky like when derwin dripped to us and Bijan drops to us??..... many mocks have that happening but i cant believe 20 teams would pass on him.... lol

Hey, I'm appreciating my Bolt brethren right now. Everything else on the web is politics and I'm tired of the whole thing. I'm glad I can just stick my nose in here and hang out for awhile and forget about everything else. I'm very thankful the powers that be on this forum keep it about football and nothing else. That said, I'm going to be playing softball tonight for most of the first round of the draft.
