Yeah - I thought it was weird that they would trade up for him…

Ok I like the Edge pick. Still don't want Washington in round 3. Give me Rochon Johnson. Then MAYBE get a 3rd or 4th for Ekeler.

He led FBS in sacks, Pac12 DPOY, forget about the rest of USC’s defense … he’s big strong and got burst, can hold the edge and rush passer, give Mack or Bosa some snaps off, can also slide nside on passing (pass rush) downs. he made a HUGE jump from 2021 to 2022, there’s more upside in the kid to be found. Only 20yo?

Walter FB had him possible Rd1 or early Rd2. Comp: Leonard Williams

Both players are hood….really is that best player at position of need. And they. NEEDED to invest in this two positions to set themselves up for a year from now. Both will play a fair amount, but it’s really about developing for 2024. I understand the strategy…but based on how the draft board fell might have preferred edge first rd and WR 2nd. Nolan Smith/Myles Murphy and Hyatt/Tilman/Mims might have been better.
So far I’d say this is a solid take!

Tuli is a tweener, too small to dwitch to DL, not good at run stopping either.

              bit of a reach

I think its about adding great young talent at positions where more than just 2 starters can play a lot of snaps, key value positions for winning, with a bonus that if they do pan out well they give the club more options in 2024. But i think they are all about 2023 winning first above all.

Last year two really weak spots were when a WR got hurt or an Edge got hurt. Those are key positions for Charger Football. Both of these guys can contribute this season.

Ok that sounds a little better

Why do i feel we have to pump ourselves up about our picks though??

Then Buffalo drafts later than us and walks away with Kincaid and Torrence

Telesco seems to fixate on position over BPA too much in top 2 rounds

too small for inside and doesn’t have length for outside.

Disappointing draft even in Telesco terms.

Thats what NFL radio said … I think it was Charlie Weiss that said it based on his extensive contacts all over the league

agree, it was one of several needs...like TE, CB, Safety, power RB..... and blazing speed receiver/returner (like sproles, ...etc).. just the question is is he a great pass rusher...hope he is not like rumph who cannot taclkle anyone in NFL......
Hope he ends up being special, like a guy so good you let Mack go at some point....

should have been fired like 6 years ago
