    2. Bowers...my fav...the next great QB/TE connection.

3 and 4. Fashanu and Alt...we can never again shirk on the oline, and the quality to be had here is too great to ignore, period. A responsible fan would put them 1 and 2...but I really want to add a star offensive playmaker, given the chance.

    5. Latu...him and Tuli could be an incredibly dynamic duo, that can help carry a defense enough, even in rougher times.

Add the 3 QBs, and thats 8 picks. I dont see us picking outside of that. Making a first round Big board is gonna be real easy this year, lol...if Jayden Daniels doesnt get picked...Turner? Koolaid? Need more study before I can decide that...

Beach...on Newton...I like him a lot...not sure his ability plus positional value equals top 8, or trumps the others I mentioned...if Stick screws around and wins a couple of games, and we are picking 10th, we'll talk...
Actually, you can and why we will be saying goodbye to MW. Don't think we go WR in round 1, let alone top 5-6 with Keenan and QJ a first rounder.

Don't see that at all. May be gone anyways. TE is a weapon in this league. Kelce kills us every year.

Of course we can. I didn't see anybody wanting Clipboard Jesus, let alone offer is a 3rd plus swap places with us getting their 2nd and they taking our 3rd......for clipboard Jesus? He was awful.

Now that our season is over and looking to the draft the only question remains is are you Team Latu or Team Bowers. Count me for Bowers as I want Herbert to have a Travis Kelce like T.E throw to. Latu would be great as well and having him duo with Tuli would instantly shore up our defense quickly. Outside those 2 big blue chip players being there in Top 10 I'd trade down and go CB.

I would take Latu or Dallas Turner over Bowers. I'm probably in the minority on that. I value pass-rushers much more than I do tight ends. Plus, I think it's easier to get a good-to-great tight end in the mid-to-late rounds. Travis Kelce (third round), George Kittle (fifth round), Mark Andrews (third round), Jake Ferguson (fourth round), and Darren Waller (sixth round) are recent examples of that.

Brock Bowers is elite pro bowl talent. Elite all pro talent. I don’t want to see my Quarterback running around because guys can’t get open Bowers is a 711 he’s always open. Herbert needs a guy who will be open. Bowers helps our whole offense. Bowers runs like a receiver. We’ll be running reverses for him.

Why Latu. Defensive line is one of the strengths on our team.I don’t get it. We have Tuli we have Bosa we have Morgan Fox we have Khalil Mack we have Sebastian Day you act like Mack’s gonna retire. He still has good seasons in him. Look at Von Miller. We don’t need Latu

            Herbert needs Bowers.

Mack and Bosa are both gone in 2025 IMO. Take an Edge if you fall in love with one. Plus three top 10 OTs are there. It’s a solid draft at the top. Trade down to the 12 to 15 range if you want Bowers. Take a premium position player if you stay in the top 10.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
                Let’s win one for Mack.

                  Herbert needs Bowers.
Herbert NEEDS a head coach and coaching staff who can teach the offensive line to block. He NEEDS a better running game to complement him. The team overall NEEDS to be better in the trenches if it wants to be great. Taking Brock Bowers won't make the impact we NEED in that area.

With Bosa injured nearly every season now, Mack stating he almost retired last offseason, Sebastian Joseph-Day set to become a free agent in 2025, and Austin Johnson on the last year of his contract, the defensive line you're overrating (are you kidding with Morgan Fox?) NEEDS to be restocked. Right now we have ONE young talent on the defensive line who looks like he's a keeper beyond 2025. ONE in Tuli.

Look at what the 49ers have on their current defensive line--Nick Bosa, Chase Young, Arik Armstead, Javon Kinlaw, Javon Hargrave, and Drake Jackson. That's three first-round picks (Bosa, Armstead, and Kinlaw), a second-round pick (Jackson), a high-priced free agent (Hargrave), and a trade for the second overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft (Young) they've invested in the defensive line. Besides Armstead and Hargrave, who are 30, the rest of that group is 26 and younger.

The Philadelphia Eagles have placed a similar value on the defensive line, with Fletcher Cox, Brandon Graham, Jordan Davis, and Jalen Carter all being first-round picks. They also hit on Josh Sweat in the fourth round and made a very intelligent signing of Haasan Reddick. Cox and Graham are on the back nine, and Reddick is 29, but Davis is 23, Carter is 22, and Sweat is 26.

Brock Bowers is a great talent at the college level who COULD be an All-Pro in the NFL. Herbert doesn't NEED him to be great, though. I haven't researched the tight ends in the upcoming draft, but I think Herbert would do just fine with someone comparable to Sam LaPorta, Michael Mayer, or Luke Musgrave, all tight ends who were drafted in the second round last April. And as I stated earlier, Travis Kelce (third round), George Kittle (fifth round), Mark Andrews (third round), Jake Ferguson (fourth round), and Darren Waller (sixth round) were all drafted after the second round. Much like running backs, you can get a very good tight end after the first round because it's not nearly as valued as other positions, so they tend to drop.

If we're going to use a top ten pick on Brock Bowers, he better be Tony Gonzalez and not Eric Ebron (picked 10th overall by the Lions and played only four years in Detroit before moving on to Indianapolis and Pittsburgh). That's not a risk I want to take.

Look...im right there with you on bowers, and have been all about having that dynamic QB/TE duo since last season...I was bullish on Kincaid...and think the decision is gonna be taken out of our hands anyway...but a realistic big board sans QBs? MHjr is above Bowers in value...just to play devils advocate, Q is looking like a #2, dont care what round he got picked in, MW and Keenan will be gone over the next 1 to 3 offseasons...Im thinking about the opportunity to nab the next Jamar Chase or Justin Jefferson for the next TEN years...hopefully, we wont be drafting high enough for awhile, to land such a specimen...so you you gotta think hard about passing on a kid like that now, even if it means passing on your favorite guy...hell, its probably frivolous to pass on the top 2 tackles as well to take Bowers...

For what its worth, Bowers is my guy too...just keeping my fandom out of the equation for now...and again also...dont think MHjr falls to us. But if he did, and we took him? I couldnt be unhappy or surprised by that at all...it would be an outstanding pick.

can't see NE doing anything but Drake Maye
Az needs WR, and if Marvin is gone then could see them trading down w/the Raiders, and selecting Odunze
                      the Commas need an LT

think Newton would be a hellah good get, 'specially if we could pair him w/T'Vondre Sweat round two, and.... still leaning Laiatu @present.
You’re confident that both CHI and AZ have decided they are settled in their franchise Qb status, really?

100% correct. Herbert has/had a good TE in Everett. He was ascending (career high 58 receptions last year). He gets open. I suspect the new offense (always a new offense) has caused a disconnect between JH and GE.

If we can't find better production/efficiency along the OL... it won't matter who we select on offense. Do we need a TE...? Yes. Does it have to be Bowers w/#8 pick...? Hell no. I'd be very disappointed if we used a high pick on a TE and bypassed better/more impactful players @#8.
