I just saw a mock on CBS that has 8 OT's taken in round 1. Almost the total of WR (5) & CB (6) combined. Everybody likes beef.

I'm really starting to warm up to the idea of trading down for more picks and at the very least grabbing Jackson Powers-Johnson in the 2nd. If he doesn't go in the 1st.....

here's a short highlight reel - you'll see plays of him running thru and over defenders like they were matchsticks. You'll see strong contested catches where he out-muscles defenders. And you'll see a lot of amazing routes where he is quickly wide open 20+ yards downfield in a blink. He plays grown-ass-man TE, he's not just a cute receiving toy. But he is a great receiving toy, unlike most grown-man TEs.

If you're hoping that Bowers will be running thru and over NFL players... you will be disappointed. A lot of horrible "tackling" on this reel. I don't think this reel has the effect you think it does. There are at least 3 WRs in the 1st round that are much better than Bowers. He's not a top-10 guy... he's a TE.

When you have Nabers, Kool Aid, Verse, Turner, Latu on the board and you take Bowers who might be an above average TE in the NFL which is normally taken in the second or third round you need to be handed a pink slip.

One of the top reasons I want Harbaugh is he’s played against the top college talent and understands them as good as anyone so his input to the draft would be phenomenal.

So instead of me acting like a know it all armchair draft GM, I’m just going to say I want Harbaugh assessing our player needs and deciding who to get in the draft.

Whoever they may be I’m not second guessing it.

Now, if it looks like little Johnny is still calling the shots then I’m pulling out a big ass bag of criticism.

Yes. All of those players would have a bigger impact IMO. I would even add Fashanu, Alt, and Odunze.

Bowers looks like a tall dude who runs over cheap college talent in highlight reels. This is where you have to really pull out the tape and determine if that tape translates to the next level. If brock is there with our second pick fine...if he's not there I'm fine with that too. Deep draft for WRs, Tackles, and QBs for our second pick.

What you're hoping for is when on 3rd and long in a crucial playoffs game Herbert hits Bowers on a big play for a touchdown or at the very least a 1st down to keep the drive going, or Bowers picks up a block on a blitz to allow Herbert a few seconds more to find an open receiver...
