You've basically accounted for four positions with two 1st-round quality picks, in the trenches no less.

You want an ultra WR? Look at the cap space we got next year. That's when you get NFL-proven ballers with NFL Playoff experience.
Draft a WR in the 2nd and maybe 3rd, this WR class is deep.

Harbaugh gets his OL and Justin gets his weapons.

Jets signing a FA LT basically means they go Bowers and that's ideal for us to shore up the interior OL and provide depth/potential at tackle.
Now you are convincing me to not opt for Fuaga Music maker:
I don't want to see a #5 pick transition to the interior; things happen much more rapidly there and the mental aspect is much more important.

      Lance Zierlen on Taliese Fuaga:

“Beefy right tackle capable of playing at a high level despite his lack of ideal pad level and lower-body bend. Fuaga plays with a fairly aggressive disposition. He’s a one-pop blocker who struggles to clinch into his run blocks and is, therefore, forced to work overtime to sustain and finish. The pass protection technique is outstanding, and he possesses the athleticism to mirror and match edge-to-edge rush movements. Fuaga’s hand work is exceptional in pass pro and will need to remain so because of his lack of desired range for recovering when beaten. A team could slide him to guard to improve its interior protection, but he’s best suited at right tackle, where he should become a good starter.”

Zierlen doesn't seem too enamoured with his road grading abilities in the run game, at the NFL level.

That would be a waste. Do you really think Pipkins can get the job done...?
Where was Pip rag dolled in all those QJ lowlights video from last season?

I'm not going to go overboard over a single play in an entire season.
Stick's pass was perfect and it was as light as a top rate souffle.
Stick couldn't throw a football through a frame covered with saran wrap.

Herbert throws missiles and heavy balls. Replace Herbert with Stick so that QJ can function in Greg Roman's offense?

A guard who can potentially swing LT and RT when freak injuries occur around the line. There's a reason why he's mocked to go top 10 in many cases.
Not to mention, Raiders are building a team to bring that pressure right down the middle on Herbert. Maybe Telesco knows something about JH?

Besides, have you seen how much teams are paying for guards this free agency? It's more and more becoming a high-value position in the modern NFL. Guards are getting PAID.
They're getting expensive to the point they're demanding nearly WR/DT/DE salary.

We got a chance to put two high-potential G/OT's on the team right now with rookie salaries for Justin Herbert's prime.
Save the money and blow it on some absolute stud weapons for Herbert or the defense the next 2-3 years.

Sean McVay and Jim Harbaugh are leading the charge back to power football.

This is the antidote to light boxes, coverage linebackers and this umbrella shit.

What happens to an umbrella when it gets hit with a strong gust of wind ?
            We play modern Harball.

Yup. A big ingredient to the Chiefs winning this year was interior offensive linemen and Pacheco running over defenders in sub 30 degree ugly weather in Weeks 19, 20 and 21.
Mahomes and company then struck when they needed to most.

Andy Reid came from Lambeau with Favre, spent a significant time in Philly. That guy knows cold weather psychology.

This isnt a Keapernick or Lamar type of QB. Those QBs ran often,..Lamar still will and a big reason why they led the league in rushing. NO RB there has led the team in rushing with him there. Herbert wont run often and is a better passer than both. So YES, we will run and run often than we are used to but the pass isnt dead.
"Imagine Justin Herbert with a run game..." I didn't say it... the coaches said it.
"You have to run the ball and protect the QB..." Again, I didn't say it. Although, I have been saying that for years, now.

Just think about how a 49ers offense or a Ravens offense would have looked with Justin Herbert at QB.
The opposing defense will have a big problem if our run game gets going. But... we have to get the run game going first.
You could keep Dissly in to help Pipkins pass block... but what a wasted opportunity.
You could have Dissly help Pipkins run block... but again, what a wasted opportunity.

The 49ers had Joe Staley and Anthony Davis @OT
The Ravens had Ronnie Stanley and Orlando Brown Jr @OT when they went 14-2.

Neither team's WR corp was great... yet they still were able to pass the ball. Jackson had 36 passing TD's 2019. Kaepernick had 21 passing TD's (career high) in 2013.

And the thing that doesn't get as much notice... those teams had very good defenses. Our defense is no where near as talented. Trading back allows us to start plugging holes in the defense. DT, LB, and CB are especially weak/thin.

                Protect the QB
                Run the ball
                Play great defense

Thats why we need Jaylen Wright. A little Pacheco in him along with 4.38 speed.
                  1. Mason Taylor TE LSU
                  2. Quinshon Judkins RB Ohio st

That 14 - 2 Baltimore team got bounced right away in the playoffs, scoring a measly 12 points.

Those Harbaugh 49er teams had a receiving corp, if not excellent, good.
They also failed to win the Super Bowl, making it just once.

True, you can't be a running team without a great defense. We don't have that. Hopefully we will be better. But if you're having to play catch up the run game becomes less important.

Not sure why having Dissly pass or run block is a wasted opportunity? That is his primary role.

our LTs in 2006 when we went 14-2? Rookie Marcus McNeil and 7th round pick Shane Olivea

                        That last thing:

There must be a dozen OTs in this draft who can do at least as good as Pip, and that would be their floor (bet we have at least two on the roster, now that Staley’s and his precious ways are gone..).

Yeah, I think the big difference between the Playoff Chiefs this year and all the other teams they faced is that they were multi-faceted in their offense while their defense made the other teams one-dimensional.

Like I mentioned, they had great IL play that allowed Pacheco to basically stack yardage and move the chains on teams in ugly weather. They also played some dink and dunk effectively. Short game was highly unstoppable for them on the road.

However, the Chiefs defense was really good and took away many of their opponents big plays through the air (only big play they gave up in-structure was the Tua/Tyreek strike).
So they were able to take away all the other teams' intermediate-long passing game, which limited how the other teams were able to attack them. The other teams had to settle for a bunch of underneath and dink and dunk.

The big difference was the Chiefs also had Mahomes and the receiving weapons Kelce and company stepped up.

Chiefs then had complete clock control over the game: both in short and medium/long yardage. They could score when they wanted and how they wanted (minus the 2nd half of the Ravens game and 1st half of the Super Bowl).

That's why they were able to basically flip the game on the Bills so quickly out of essentially nowhere. Then applied a lot of pressure on them to keep up.

When your team can score grinding the clock or quickly with intermediate/deep air strikes, while the other team can only do one of those things you basically can control how the game ends and how much pressure you put on the other team. You make them play the game they don't want to or can't play.

That's why I want this team to build the OL and run game. That's really the weakest link. We got the QB for the passing, reliable targets will do for now in the 2nd+ round and as we've seen: big play WR's tend to want to change teams as they get unhappy in their situations. We can snipe them with our insane cap we'll have the coming years. That's honestly my favorite roadmap to take advantage of Justin Herbert's prime years rather than expecting 1st and 2nd year "weapons" to replace Keenan's and Ekeler's production/chemistry with JH the last two years.
