I always mock him 5th or later...but if he is the real deal, it just takes a team that recognizes the tools, and needs a center, and you could see him snatched up early day 3, nevermind the simulations.

My feelings is that Bozeman is a bridge guy that will hopefully have a bounce back year with us and then get us a comp pick the following year when he leaves. With that being said, never hurts to have a backup plan in the draft if he doesn’t work out this year.

And although Murphy looked good, he played about half the snaps.

I'm wondering if he has conditioning issues.

I was watching Zach Frazier against both those guys, and he handled them most of the game...he didnt win every battle...got one hold, and got sheared off on his own man once, who got pushed behind him...but otherwise, won the war IMO.

Here's what a few scouts say about Braden Fiske:

“You don’t want to like him because he doesn’t look awesome,” said one scout. “But this guy plays every down like he’s going to the firing squad after the down’s over. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen anybody play this hard. The lack of length shows up as a pass rusher, but for his size he’s powerful and a penetrator. He gets behind the line of scrimmage. He can run. Really good athlete. He can bend. He’s going to be a really good player. It wouldn’t even surprise me to see him go ahead of Murphy. This guy’s a f—— buzzsaw.”

“Has short arms but uses his hands well,” a second scout said. “Outstanding worker. Has to be kicked out of the weight room. Blue-collar pro mindset. More disruptive than productive as a rusher. Gets stuck on bigger and longer offensive linemen at times.”

“He just goes all-out, all-out, all-out,” said a third scout. “The more you watch him the more you like him.”

I think Neal would want to sign a deal to be the starter. Since Chargers resigned Gilman, not sure if Neal would want to come here. If they were able to sign him as a depth piece and for sub packages that would be great.

I like Frazier as our future C in the 5th.

IMO, part of the Harbaugh/Hortiz draft plan is to take an RB early-ish in the draft (rounds 2-4) to complement the Gus Bus. Who's it going to be?

Jonathan Brooks, PFF projection #56 (bottom half 2nd)
Jaylen Wright, PFF projection #71 (top half 3rd)
Blake Corum, PFF projection #75 (top half 3rd)
Bucky Irving, PFF projection #84 (mid 3rd)
Trey Benson, PFF projection #86 (mid 3rd)
Ray Davis, PFF projection #102, (top 4th)
Marshawn Lloyd, PFF projection #105 (top half 4th)
Audric Estime, PFF projection #114 (mid 4th)
Braelon Allen, PFF projection #129 (bottom half 4th)
Will Shipley, PFF projection #133 (bottom 4th)
Issac Guerendo, PFF projection #134 (bottom 4th)

I think they could draft a 2nd RB later on day 3 if there is one they like. Harbaugh's knowledge of this college class will particularly be helpful in the late rounds, he will know who the gems are. With the extra cap space, they could forgo a 2nd RB in the draft and sign a veteran FA like Kareem Hunt or Matt Breida after the draft.

Agree,.... Tyler Booker #52 is a Sophomore LG for Bama and is 335 lbs and he just mashed Sweat a couple times by himself and took him right out of the play. Sweat wasnt in there every play either and rotated out w/ #90. Maybe Texas likes a rotation of their DL, idk.
Ben Herbert will help guys like Sweat and Murphy be in shape if they buy in and that will also be a deciding factor on them drafting players. They can tell if by responses/body language in interviews if they think they will buy in or not. Not sure Herbert will be in on those interviews but he could be.

Id think for DT Harbaugh has his sights on Jenkins and Fiske and NT, idk....maybe he likes Maason Smith, McKinley Jackson, or even Newton but he will be a high pick. Maybe he likes Tito and Clarke who we already have. Could be. They put out that they really like Palmer as a #2 and the may extend him so who knows.

I think if Jaylen Wright is there in the 3rd, take him. If Lloyd is there in the 4th, take him. I would be happy with either player.

Nourzad could have a jump like his teammate last year Juice Scruggs who went in the 2nd. Scruggs all draft season was projected to go in 4th-6th rounds. I don’t see Nourzad going in the 2nd, but I can see him going in the 3rd.

Byron Murphy didn't play in that game.

In the run game, I didn't see him handle Tevondre Sweat alone .... not that that would be an easy assignment.

Frazier did look a bit better blocking in space at the 2nd level; he generally looks lost, particularly in the flat.

I agree with Sonora Jim, I have a late day 3 grade on him.

Bolded are my guesses/hope. Ive seen GAC say that Allen would be redundant with Gus but another size guy with some quicks never hurts. Benson and Wright my top guys for us.
Like Brooks too. The knee just is skeptic for me till he gets the 100% good to go and it wont be a holdback.
