just noticing that Minny will likely receive not one, but two third round comps next offseason, and of which simplifies the compensation for the if and when we trade down w/them, and so....

even tho 11 & 23 is 210 points over the value for 5 overall, we could still turn around and trade w/NY for their third/240 points, and so.... it makes sense to ask for one of their third round comp picks, which would make their offer greater than the Giants.... in theory.

5 for 11, 23 and a 2025 third round comp pick.... personally, think that gets it done ??

U never know what a GM in the hot seat will offer, especially when a franchise saving QB could be theirs if they move up to pick him before someone else...always worth a try...

Latham's pass blocking is very good, but his run blocking isn't too bad either...if we trade down to #11, a good chance he's still there...and one more thing...he's a REAL RT...so no position change issues..

where's his shuttle/10 yard split, his vert & broad jumps ?? ....what's he hiding ?? Telesco started off his career w/a Fluker.... sure hoping that Joe doesn't double down on that.... Fuaga for the first line of defense.

Latham moves well for a big man...he's in 99th percentile in 40...but how does that translate to his shuffle and mirroring quick edge rushers with spin moves...don't know...I'm sure Harbo and Trader Joe are watching tape closely...

If both Wright and Corum are on the board when the Chargers pick in the 3rd, you would take Wright over Corum? Wright is a year and a half younger and had nearly half the college carries that Corum did. That might tip the scales to him over Corum if I were drafting.

U never know...remember, Cousins is 35 and is a 12-year vet...now, he's still at the top of his game, but the Falcons may want to groom a younger guy, AND have a decent backup in place in case of injury...and THIS is one of the Bolts' biggest failings...relying on Stick as backup, who just didn't impress...
(especially in that Raiduhs game...)

IMO, part of the Harbaugh/Hortiz draft plan is to take an RB early-ish in the draft (rounds 2-4) to complement the Gus Bus. Who's it going to be?

I think they could draft a 2nd RB later on day 3 if there is one they like. Harbaugh's knowledge of this college class will particularly be helpful in the late rounds, he will know who the gems are. With the extra cap space, they could forgo a 2nd RB in the draft and sign a veteran FA like Kareem Hunt or Matt Breida after the draft.

Watched Texas defense vs Alabama offense to look at Texas's two DT.

I came away striking T. Sweat off of any 2nd round considerations: too much of a 3rd round plugger - sorry Beachcomber.
And although Murphy looked good, he played about half the snaps.

I'm wondering if he has conditioning issues.

can't say I disagree w/you.... thought he looked pretty good @the SB.... dunno, might have to move on from him.... ??

ps. will add that Alabama routinely used four guys to block those two guys....
