    1. Alt: can't battle his way out of a wet paper bag
    2. Nabers: a me first, gang banger wannabe, midget slot guy
    3. Bowers: a midget tight end who plays against inferior talent in the SEC
    4. Odunze: very nice .... Telesco type of player
"2. Nabers: a me first, gang banger wannabe, midget slot guy" Possibly...but that's where due diligence comes into play...is he a problem or is he just a pumped extrovert. He pumps up his effort in games due to his personality.

"3. Bowers: a midget tight end who plays against inferior talent in the SEC" This is where I'm at...I don't have a problem with taking him at #11-13 but anything earlier and were gonna look stupid if it doesn't pan out! We are still going to be looking for a wide receiver even if we take him at #11-13 so there's that problem.

Players with some kind question mark fault or personality problem. Jermain Burton come on down in the third round. LOL!

It's getting so ridiculous in here that I almost want to wait until after the draft to assess the situation because I just think people have gone nuts beyond common sense...just weird fetishistas in here now with weird Bowers love who think he's the second coming of Gates and Winslow Sr. ...

        Gates was undrafted...
        Winslow was drafted #13 that's 8 spots below 5....

Bowers is just some white dude who ran over lesser talent in college...what happens when his game doesn't pan out to your expectations. Draft him at #11 or just let someone else have this injury train wreck with their high pick....just more chances to draft an impact player in my book at #11. Bowers is not some kind of SECRET SAUCE. LOL! To me this is the very definition of Chargering....
Sorry but that is a bad take on Bowers. I dont think we draft him and I am over it but he was the best TE in college, probably ever. Won the Mackey twice, only guy ever to do that. He ran over lesser talent???? He walked into a stacked Geogia team and started ...and then dominated the SCC...as a freshman.

Uh, has Roman ever had a QB like Herbert? Just a rhetorical question, I suspect Roman tailors his O to fit Herbert and doesn’t forget dude makes all the throws, invents new ones, makes PS dudes look all pro, etc. (maybe Brown’s issue wasn’t necessarily Roman’s O, but the dude running it?).

I like Mike Williams a lot too. Get used to seeing Bowers on the sideline for half the season until we get tired of his injuries like Mike Williams. Great or even good is not helpful if your going to be continual injury concern. Wait until he starts getting smacked around by the best of the best compared to college ball. 80% failure rate with TE's in the NFL...there's a reason why they're not taken in the top ten let alone a guy who's already getting injured before even coming out.

Prove it! Was he the reason why LSU didn't win it all or is he some kind of exuberant prima donna that will destroy a team. Prove it please with evidence.

He’s a prima donna who likely has rocks for brains. I take him off my board and go Udenze at 5, Thomas at 11, or Mitchell/McConkey at 23 or lower.

Maybe you are the one not using common sense. I don't have a problem with MHJ or Odunze at 5. I also don't have a problem with Bowers at 5 but if we get him at 8,9 11....great. But I don't think he gets by the Jets so why not 5 if they really like his fit for us? If I'm the HC I don't care how much Dean has to pay him at 5. Deans been paying low cost shit HCs for years and his next contract will be much less than MHJ or Nabers.

JH2 may not pick either of them and pick OL and if they do, are you out in this team and think they are idiots? Harbaugh wins everywhere he has been so hard to argue. Seems you just can't see logic from a different perspective.
Who cares where Winslow was drafted in the 70s. And who cares Gates was undrafted? How many undrafted guys are in the HOF? He was a needle in a haystack and we got lucky.

Kelce is going in the HOF. Read someone yesterday say he isnt blocking anyone lol. Bowers isn't top notch but he is blocking someone. White dude Kelce is doing something right but did little in college.
And every top college player is some white or black dude running over lessor talent.
And what if Nabers isn't near what he was in college? Not every first round receivers has panned out. Many don't.

Nobody is always right, not me, GMs, scouts or you.

There are 113 div 1 teams alone. A small % of those guys make it in the NFL...and we aren't even counting div 2.

I've said many times, going to the NFL is like going from double A ball to the majors.

Maybe you should wait til after the draft if you are going to loose it. You can say I told you so later or puke. Either way we will root for the players they drafted and see who still says I told you so or pukes in a couple years. But if we are winning, who cares!

I don't think Herbert feels this way at all. We just deleted three viable players from our receiving roster not including eckler. Right now our offense is a limp dick until after the draft. Unless we add some talent we aren't looking to keen on offense but I do have hope until after the draft. Right now Dicker the Kicker will be our leading scorer due to just moving the ball to the red zone and kicking field goals.

What a fucking toxic thread this is turning into.

Everyone has their favorites. Does that make them right? Wrong? No.

Ketchup on steak, while blasphemy, is someone's preference.

Unlikely...I see the top 4 receivers with a possible 50% success rate or better. Bowers is smallish player with a possible expectations failure rate in the realm of TEs 80% failure rate due to over drafting.
