We'll see soon enough. IDK if he measures 6'3". Sam LaPorta is 6'3" and doing fine. There are many 6'3" TEs. Gerald Everett is 6'3"
You dont need to be 6'6" like Gronk.... and that isnt the norm.
By their late 50's men typically lose 1 inch from their height.
Harbaugh was listed at 6'3" during his playing days; at the time of that photo he's around 6'2".

I'd estimate Bowers height at 6'2" to 6'3".

      Bowers is not a TE.
      He's a Big Slot.
And Top 5 in the '24 Draft.
Does he run good routes for a slot receiver, if that is what he's being judged by?

La Porta is one of the historically very few top tight ends below 6'4".
Shannon Sharpe might be the only Hall of Famer (6'2"), and he started out as a wide receiver.

We'll find out more about what his height and weight are next week. I think he may be among the smallest tight ends in this draft. That doesn't mean he won't be great, but it's something that will be looked at while he's being evaluated. As I said before, he doesn't look the part.

Other tight ends, in no particular order, in this draft:

        1. Cade Stover: 6-4, 250-255 pounds.
        2. Ben Sinnott: 6-4, 247 pounds
        3. Erick All: 6-5, 250 pounds.
        4. Ja'Tavion Sanders: 6-3 or 6-4, 243 or 252 pounds (it depends on which site you look at.
        5. Theo Johnson: 6-6, 257 pounds.
        6. A.J Barner: 6-5, 251 pounds.

My unprofessional opinion is Daniels is not the most accurate passer and doesn't have great arm strength. He's also quite frail, so there are concerns about how he'll hold up in the NFL. I don't see the Giants wanting to spend that high of a pick on Daniels after messing up by taking Daniel Jones sixth overall in 2019. Most Giants fans I talk to want Nabers or Odunze if they stay at sixth, but they're much like us in wanting to trade back and get a right tackle to replace Evan Neal, who has been a disappointment.
          LOL!

            Unstoppable shallow crossers for starters.
            We play modern Harball.

This is just my opinion so please don't read this the wrong way. I really don't care if Bowers is 6-2, 6-3, 6-4, or he weighs 230, 240, 250 or whatever. I'm not drafting Bowers as a prototypical TE because he is not a prototypical TE. I'm drafting him as a weapon that will mostly line up in the TE spot but can line him up almost anywhere. This would give the offense different looks and confuse defenses. If I want a prototypical TE I would draft one in the later rnds or sign one in FA which is what I think the Chargers will do anyway.

If you think that is to high to draft him because he's not a prototypical TE then I can understand that. I don't agree with it but totally understand why someone would have that opinion.
Time to put my money where my mouth is: Hampton will be better than Jeanty!

Kittle is excellent with YAC and why some compare Bowers to him. Both have speed as well.

It was funny to see members of the Brock Bowers Fan Club scrambling to find pictures of great players who don't have imposing physiques, which included Patrick Mahomes. As if Mahomes has ever been asked to chip Myles Garrett or T.J. Watt, or block Patrick Queen one-on-one. Lol.

Whatever he is, if we draft Bowers, Ben Herbert is going to have his work cut out for him there.
Yeah that's why we have to wait for the combine. Many players have different weights listed. I see 240 most often for Bowers. Seen 230 once.

Draft sites that get 40 times pre combine try and get info from teams weigh ins and workouts but some aren't current.

I'm not real worried about it. If he is 240....or if he weighs in at 238, I'd still like to see him get to 245-250.....somewhere in there. He just turned 21 in Dec.

From what I've read, they have an out with Jones' contract following the 2024 season. It was a bad contract for them to offer him, but I think they'll move on after next season.
Why not? Zach Wilson and Lance went high,.. . Russell, Gabbard.

Gabbard wasn't top 5 but he wasnt good in college imo and went 10th I believe.

                    QBs are always over drafted.

Maybe he is. I'm 61 and I'm the same height. Harbaugh looks a little bow legged now.so maybe but Bowers still looked a couple inches taller, not just 1...and Harbaugh had a hat on.

We'll see soon enough. I don't care if he is 6'3". ..doesn't sway me.
