Okay, good point. #11 @ $19 mil plus #23 @ 13 mil = $32 mil...just about the SAME as that $31.8 mil as #5...so imagine...TWO solid starters for the price of one, if that Vikes deal happens...

NYG have 6. That pick alone ensures that AZ at the very worst will get Nabers in a trade. That’s a huge selling point and losing out on MH2 wouldn’t be so bad if they just get Nabers 2 picks later along with whatever they get for the trade. NYG have 42 in the 2nd…
      AZ would have 2 2nds and 3 3rds in that deal….

Actually, your illustration is somewhat similar to what TT did...shelled out bank bucks for monster contracts we couldn't afford, and we got burned by the salary cap...I see trading down as similar to buying in bulk at Costco...more bang for your buck...if you look at that salary comparison above from Spotrac, we pay about the same for #11 and #23 as we would pay ONE player @#35...TWO solid starters for the price of one...

This is a great LB class. Dudes like Tommy Eichenberg getting pushed back into the mid-rounds. Edgerrin Cooper is a Patrick Queen comp... but a little faster. What if he ends up being Fred Warner-good...?

IF they do trade down with the Vikings and get #11 and #23 they could trade that #23 and pick up another 2nd pick. Having 2 pick in the 1st and 2nd rounds would be tits. They could theoretically have 2 picks in the 3rd round as well. That would be brilliant.
Arizona already has 7 picks in the top-100.
They will take the best player in the draft @#4. They are dying for a WR.

That deal actually makes sense.... if they really believe that Nabers is indeed close to MHJ in talent. I don't... but they may. We'll see.

Only if the guys you select are good . . . . . . . . . . still need quality players. Buying 15 turkeys at Costco because they were on sale doesn't really help if 10 of them go bad before you can eat them . . . . . .

They’d have to load the wagon with 2025 picks, its a long shot though AZ already has a lot of 2024 picks. But does MIN KNOW that AZ won’t take a huge 2025 wagon? I think AZ should sit pat at 4 and take their WR, leave that 11 and 23 to LAC.

What they really should do is trick someone into thinking Murray is worth something, trade him, and take a fucking QB, thats what they should do

And if MHJr is there at 5, Hortiz looks like a genius if he takes him, looks like a dummy if he passes on him. And I think he wants to come out of this draft looking like a genius.
No. He looks like a genius if this team is competitive this year.

Or - Don’t buy 200 lbs of Costco Turkey if your frig can only hole 100 lbs.

We will find room for Rd 1 and 2 picks, also but not as much room for Rd3, and lesser and lesser Day 3 picks that may not beat out the current gobblers. A buttload of Rd 7 picks is functionally useless.

and yes - lesser and lesser is in fact grammatically … oh, who am I kidding. Nevermind.

                        We want Diestel Ranch Turkeys.

Trading down certainly works if a team drafts as well as Veach/Reid and DeCosta/Harbaugh. Who traded up for their QBs. Brilliant drafting.
Chiefs traded down for Chris Jones.
Holmes down for Gibbs last year. Just a few off the top of my head.
