My feeling is if they played the season at 190-195 and showed up at 206 , most likely during the season they will be 195-200. A lot of players add weight to look bigger because they need to.
Verrett did that and he wasn't 190 for us. He was listed at 179 in college. Kyler Murray did it this year and apparently so did Adderly.

Not concerned about a pulled muscle though. I'm more concerned about guys like Auburn CB Jamel Dean who tore up both knees and has had multiple knee surgeries though he was healthy last season. Blazed a 4.3 and a decent player but has injury concerns. I may take a late flyer on him.
Don't have him in my clusters though.

Jamel's past knee surgeries are a huge concern but he's been completely healthy for 2 years with excellent on field play.
His medical evaluation will be a major factor in his draft status.

Agree and why I don't have him in my clusters. We will never know about his knees. He is young but could develope arthritis early. Why I said a late flyer

I don't factor in previous injuries if the prospect has played at a high level for a season post injury since I don't have access to the medicals. Medicals, background, and personal interviews are the things that would weigh heavy in my evaluations but since I don't know them I leave them out.

With corners at a premium, i could Jamel Dean going early. Two healthy years is two more than Verrett in college. I'd strongly consider him at back end of 2nd round.

change the l for an s & you get the Hollywood crowd interested. Battle for LA!!!!

What does everyone think of Erik McCoy at #28. I liked him against Clemson. He can play guard and take over for Pouncey eventually.

I still see the same things in Wilkins that i didn't like last year.

I don't see how we can justify IOL as a priority in the first...we just drafted two a couple of years ago, and another last year...gotta give em a chance to reach their ceiling. Now...if there is something weird going on with Lamp...like maybe he is a head case, or a bad team guy, or he just hasn't handled his recovery well...then maybe it is a priority, but there is no way to know that. For now, I say Lamp is still in the picture, and Feeney gets another year to show us improvement. The only way I could get behind McCoy is if he is BPA by far at 28, and it's hard to believe the draft will fall that way.

For what its worth, your not the only one pitching interior oline...and I do like the prospect...just think we go different direction at 28

If that is where the value is, why not?

agree w/the latter re: Wilkins, and.... agree w/the former w/McCoy.... Alex Mack compare, who handled both Dex and Quinnen.

has the anchor that Bradbury lacks, @least as of now, and has plenty of lateral agility to play center, and....

think Pouncey and Okung will require monitoring going forward, and would like to have reinforcements at both positions going forward.

ps. also agree that as a draftnik/GM, you have to give consideration to Adderley's most recent "rash" of injuries.

If there is a wicked run on DTs, OTs, and Safeties...and McCoy is BPA...sure. And I said as much, but I just don't think he will be BPA at 28...but hell yea, I am definitely a BPA kind of guy this year. Maybe not WR or RB...but I'd take a corner or pass rusher there if they were big talent...I would be all over TJ Hockenson if he fell...

Now...this is all just fan opinion on here...what do I really know about how much our staff values each of these prospects, or which PONs are prioritized....right?

Agree on Adderley... has been at the bottom of my best safeties board all along...I prefer Rapp and Gardner-Johnson...two guys who have the range to play single high, and the build/toughness to come up and support the run, or even switch up with James...If all we wanted was a speedster with ball skills, we should have converted Verret...lol.

Seriously though...I would rather have the guy who is half a step slower, but a better tackler with a more durable build.

Say....what did you see in Wilkins that you didn't like? To me, very talented prospect, locker room leader, and one of the safer picks in the draft...kid could have come out and made a ton of money last year, but went back to Clemson to try and win a championship with his bros. Whats not to like?
