I think i did a pretty good job ranking the WRs last year but ill admit i was way off on Benjamin. I guess it helps to instantly be thrust into the #1 role. But he has looked good. Hes had a couple drops which was the main knock i had on him...but not nearly as many as i expected. Sky is the limit for this kid.

I dont think Clary was a good RT, but he was a decent RG. Not sure where any defense of Clary at RT would come from.

Please keep Clary's sexual deviations out of this discussion. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure I read Gehlken saying that in one of his chats.

I'd just settle for an average to slightly below average line. That would be a massive upgrade at 4 positions.

There is a rumor, being reported by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, that Marcus Peters (CB, Washington) 'tried to strangle' a coach on two occasions. The first resulting in suspension and the second was the cause for his dismissal. If true, i would imagine this will surface closer to the draft.

Hmmmm....if I knew I would only get a suspension for strangling my boss "the first time" I'd give it a shot

It depends what you mean by surface. I would imagine that NFL teams have already started looking into it, and probably already know what is going on. But they (NFL teams) don't have any interest in making it public. I mean. if they can guard the news and get another team to bite, it leaves a player who could help still available. Plus, as a team, you don't want to go on hearsay (media reports), you want to get the info from a real source, so you know how to judge it. Every NFL team will send someone (either now or later) to ask around on him (and his teammates).

Teams know far more about players behind the scenes behavior and habits then ever makes the draft hype. They look at everything they can find on players, and that other stuff if important to them. I imagine that teams even want to know about their study habits and how they interact with their teammates in terms of the social interactions.

Agreed. In fact the Journal's source was a NFL scout. I should have said that this will be talked about more (now that the report has been published) by the pundits and the press.

Sure would be nice to simply put all of our free agent money into OL/NT and sign our key players. Free up more cash by extending Rivers. Then draft skill positions. But at this point as far as the draft goes i think beefing up the lines is obvious. But i cant help but want to somehow get Melvin Gordon or Amari Cooper. High 1st round WRs scare me because they are so hit or miss but imo Cooper is a cant miss prospect.

I think this plan is a very real possibility but at this point until we see what we do in free agency the focus is the OL. Sign Flowers and Dunlap. Move Fluker inside and sign another RT and OG. Draft skill playmakers.

                      Sounds like a fun.

I understand the concern with rookie WR, but let's remember that college football has changed a lot the last few years. College WR are now in passing offenses, and there are a lot more teams throwing a lot more. The current crop of college WR have played in offenses that love to spread things out and throw the entire time they have been in college, so they have a lot more reps then college WR did even a few years ago.

And there have been a lot of can't miss prospects who have been misses in the past. I don't think cooper is among them, but I do think a lot of what makes a guy a great player or not is hard to grade just by watching them play.

Of course we wouldn't even be talking WR had we just taken Moncrief. lol. I had him in the top 5 last year. I think he will end up being a bigger steal than Allen was as he gets more into his career. Hes a true deep threat and with Luck throwing him the ball he will end up being a really special player imo. At this point with those WRs being eligible for the draft in 2015 i really only consider Cooper a high 1st round grade. Most of the others are in the back of the first or 2nd for at this point. I like a lot of WRs this year but as far as value goes i think you could get a stud in the 2nd. I still have no problem taking a guy like Gordon in the 1st. I just think hes a special talent. If you are willing to move up for Mathews and be ok with it yu have to be open minded to a talent like Gordon. I dont think the passing game is his weakness hes just not used much there. Wisconsin is a running team. Hes twice the talent of Ball. I fricken love this kid. Cooper and Gordon are my 2 favorite players in this draft as far as skill positions go.
