Glad you made it Rich ... This is a very fun team to watch. Each day someone different does something to help the team out.

Pads finally found a way to win tonight after going 2-17 w/RISP.

That catch was freakin incredible. he doesn't make it and its game over. I can't believe I am fired up about the padres at this point in the season. Ton of injuries and they keep chugging. sweeping 2 first place teams and winning in the fashion they did last night, 1 game out of first now. This is nice, glad I don't have time Warner

Nice to see some relevance for this team this season. Maybe by bringing the fences in helped in changing the mindset of the club. Suck it Dodgers...payroll alone doesn't win games.

Pitching, Defense and Timely hitting is what you need to win. Padres are currently getting all three! They're picking each other up, having (overall) descent approaches at the plate and most of all they hustle thier asses off.

We have had 3 2-baggers, 2 SS (as of late), 4 CF's, 2 platooning catchers, at least 2 regular 1st basemen and countless corner outfielders and the team doesn't miss a beat. Denorfia, Maybin, and Amarista have played CF lights out, and then you throw in Venables catch last night. Wow... This team is fun to watch and they play the game the right way.

Been totally impressed with the Padres. They have always had the propensity to over-achieve under Bud Black, but historically it had been at the tail end of the season. I hope they can sustain through the season and make a run. I WISH Time Warner had the Padres!

First time I've been excited about the Padres in a while. I'm hoping they can find a legit front of the rotation arm in a trade. We are going to need it to sustain some of this success.

                    Concur-
                    1. Stay in contention
                    2. Find a team out of contention that wants to part ways with a arm

The phillies could fall into catergory #2 if they slide a bit more. They have 4 really good arms and a ton of $ invested.

Pads leading late. Cashner stepped up huge and threw 7 innings...needed that after last nights game!

Too bad Buddy gave away tonight's game with his shit bullpen management after Guzzy hit the HR. Crap way to lose the streak.

damn...wish I coulda come in here on a win.

Oh well, The Pads are awesome and doin' GREAT! After the start they had to get back to five hundred was a fine goal. Now it's lookin' like that was a little short sighted.

(P.S. my boss is a Gnat fan. Would love to see the good guys to beat the stuffing outta them tonight)
