didnt KC score the least against us last year? Or was it Mahomes' first year that we did that?
How Will The Offense Change This Season With Tyrod Taylor?

In last year's AFCW, Oak was the only team with a weaker defense than the Chargers.
In last year's SB, KC had the best avg defense (19 - 19.3 ppg allowed), SF had the highest scoring avg offense (30 - 28 ppg). You recall who won.
IF LAC plays great D in 2020 and the O is an avg scoring unit, we're a playoff team (assuming STs are decent or better).
Of course avg's are only a clue. Games are decided by the best team on the day they play.
I'd like to see LAC with Tyrod limit turnovers, penalties and move the chains. Avg scoring 20+.
If the D kicks in with some takeaways, maybe a score or so,doesn't give up many chunk plays or points, holds opponents under 20 ppg, we'll win a lot of games (assuming STs are decent or better).
IMO it's incumbent on Tyrod to be a smart game manager with Steichen's help.

12/29/19 KC 31- LAC 21
2019 was not a good year for the Chargers defense. I won't make excuses for '19 but 2020 should be far better.
The additions of Harris, Joseph and Murray + team health & experience are significant.

How effective the offense is going to be is a lot to do with how well the OL plays. 5 of 11 players on the offense play line, so if 45% of the offense is not very good, the offense is not very good. No amount of game planning or play calling can fix that.
We have great skill players. We had great skill players last year, but it didn't help that much.
The Chargers can start to score more points by getting better field position, and back up the other team to help our D. But in the end, the roster needs to get better across the board, year after year. Draft and develop.
