Retired LB Chase Blackburn is interviewing for the Chargers' assistant special teams coach vacancy.
Blackburn, 32, was last in the league in 2014 when he was placed on I.R. by the Panthers after a knee injury. He spent the first eight years of his career with the Giants before two years in Carolina. Blackburn was a special teams stalwart

Regardless, I'd rather draft someone like that than spend 10m on a 30 year old who's play has declined.

With Denver having so many free agents needing to be signed, what about someone like Malik Jackson. I am not sure the chanes of signing someone like him, but it seems like he would be good one to pursue.
They have Von Miller, Malik Jackson, Danny Trevathan, Brock Osweiler, Evan Mathis, among others. Lots of players to tie up.

Kelly( Alabama), Martin( ND), Allen ( Mich. St.), Blythe( Iowa), Tuerk ( SC) would all be upgrades to Robinson, and most certainly Watt.
No need to spend money in FA on this position.

I like Malik Jackson. I don't think Denver will be able to keep him. He is going to be pricey and this draft is deep in DL prospects. I'm pretty sure someone will drop a ton of cash on him early in FA. With us having the 3rd pick and DL being an area of need I don't think we will be barging into a deal like that. Same goes for Mo Wilkerson
