Yes, actually. I know a couple of soccer players who have had ACL reconstructions done by him and a water polo player that had a should fixed that all swear by him. I've heard a couple of college soccer coaches talk about him and they send all their players to him if they jack their knees up (or did a few years ago the last time I heard). So while he may or may not have a drinking problem if you listen to LT, Billy Ray Smith or Hank Bauer they rave about the guy. I wouldn't let him work on me if I blew a knee out or anything because of his personal problems, but that doesn't mean he doesn't know his stuff.

Mark Sanchez to have thumb surgery, miss some OTA time

Any advantage Mark Sanchez has in being the Broncos starting quarterback is going to be negated by the fact he’s not going to be ready to start OTAs.

According to Mike Klis of 9News, the Broncos will be without Sanchez next week, after he needed surgery to repair a thumb injury.

Sanchez apparently tore a ligament in his left (non-throwing) thumb during a workout in the team’s weight room last week. He had a procedure Saturday to fix it, but is expected to be out at least a week.

Without Sanchez out there, it creates more reps for second-year quarterback Trevor Siemian and first-round pick Paxton Lynch, along with more reason for concern. If it’s not a long recovery, it shouldn’t change the overall face of the competition, as Sanchez is the only experienced candidate.
