Chargers have released WR Jacoby Jones, team announced. He signed two-year, $5.5 million deal in March. Had five punt returns for -4 yards.

The Chargers also re-signed backup center J.D. Walton, a sign that Chris Watt, who entered the Ravens game briefly at left guard to replace Chris Hairston (who replaced the injured King Dunlap at left tackle) could miss time with a shoulder injury.

Wide receiver Javonte Herndon and cornerback Greg Ducre were promoted off the practice squad.
