He has set up Mahomes to be successful by using the speed of his WR to run short routes that give an easy read, completion, and let the WR run after catch. As Mahomes gets more and more confident he will run a more complete tree and you can see it in some games. What I am trying to say is that the Chargers still have a pass rush. It was just taken away in 2/3 of the games so far. Don't fret too much.

Okay, but if the Chargers pass rush doesn't perform well against the 49ers (Jimmy Garoppolo had already been sacked 13 times in 3 games, and we'll be facing the backup QB) then I think we have to admit that we may have a real problem.

      From PFF

      Austin Ekeler
      , RB
      , Los Angeles Chargers

      Overall grade: 90.4

Melvin Gordon III and Austin Ekeler have formed one of the most formidable running back duos in the NFL through the first three weeks of the season. In 63 total snaps, Ekeler ranks first in overall grade and receiving grade among all running backs this season at 90.4 and 91.1, respectively. Through three games, Ekeler has posted 31 total touches and has forced 11 missed tackles and his 173.9 elusive rating ranks first, by far, at the position. Ekeler has also been a wildly productive receiver out of the backfield, averaging 3.57 yards per route run.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

if 3.57 yards per route run is "wildly productive", the bar must be set incredibly low? Are they talking YAC or something else here?

Its per route run not per catch. If you run a route but the ball goes elsewhere, you get 0 yards added to your total. Guys who get the ball a lot do well here.

Chargers HC Anthony Lynn ruled Joey Bosa (foot) out for this week's game against the Raiders. Bosa isn't expected back until Week 9 vs. the Seahawks at the earliest.

                  Shit! I just read this.
Chargers rookie Kyzir White started the team's first three games at linebacker before missing Sunday's win over the 49ers with a knee injury. Head coach Anthony Lynn said on Monday that White will miss at least one more game.

                    Lynn updates some injuries.....
Head coach Anthony Lynn is always letting us know how the team came away from the game from an injury standpoint. Here were some of the takeaways from his press conference yesterday. Kyzir White will be out again next week. Lynn said that White had a procedure on his knee yesterday.

Way to go Philon. We knew you had talent when we drafted you.

The OL is in much worse shape than the DL.
