Coach Anthony Lynn said the team expects MLB Denzel Perryman (ankle) to return from injured reserve Week 10 against the Jaguars.

Perryman had surgery back in August to repair a torn ligament in his ankle. A stout run defender in the middle, Perryman's absence has been felt with the Bolts getting shredded on the ground. Perryman will come back in time to go head-to-head with Leonard Fournette. It's a boost to a strong overall defense.

COSTA MESA, Calif -- The Los Angeles Chargers announced on Tuesday that the team activated middle linebacker Denzel Perryman from injured reserve/designated to return and brought back veteran tight end Jeff Cumberland.

To make room for those moves, the Chargers waived linebacker Josh Keyes and offensive lineman Tyler Marz.

2017 NFL Special Teams rankings - through Week 13

Special teams are an important aspect of winning football games in the NFL. At Pro Football Focus we are uniquely positioned to evaluate the kicking game, as we extend our grading of every player of every play of every game to this aspect of play in addition to offense and defense. Last season, we created a rating algorithm to rank special teams units based upon these unique grades, and during the offseason we updated the method. We plan on providing these rankings every quarter of the season, with the picture painted by these rankings likely clearer with each passing quarter. Below is the third such installment of these rankings.

            27. Los Angeles Chargers

            (previous ranking: 30)

Younghoe Koo cost them two games to start the season, and Nick Novak was allowing an average starting field position of the 26-yard line before he recently went on injured reserve.

We need to take a close look on some of the injury prone guys on this team. Including Verrett and Perryman. No matter how good you're you can't help the team in the bathtub. Allen probably deserve a pass because he's so dominate when he's healthy.

Id try and trade Verrett in the offseason. He is NEVER healthy. He is hurt so often i forget he is a part of the team.

Best kind of ability is .......... AVAILability!
Be nice if we could get more production from his monetary slot. TT will have to decide whether to stand by his guy or pay it to someone, who may not be as good( because Verrett when healthy is GOOD!) but can play every week.
