@MikeGarafolo: Chargers looking to make some OL upgrades in free agency. Expect them to be in on Broncos G/T Orlando Franklin.

The Chargers are interested in free agent LG Orlando Franklin.
Franklin graded out positively in both run blocking and pass protection last season, and would be an immediate upgrade to the Chargers' interior line. He's also expected to get free-agent looks as a right tackle, but would remain at guard in San Diego.

Man, you guys are SO much smarter than I am about this that any specific move I could recommend would get torn to shreds.

In general - and in my own ignorant opinion - I think the tactic of spreading risk is better. I have zero stats to back this up.
I just can't remember the last time a team spent the whole budget on 1 guy and it gave them a SB ring. If I'm forgetting some
example, tell me and I'll thank you for the education.

Anybody have any thoughts on Brooks Reed OLB from Hou? I don't think he would command a big salary and could be a rotational guy and insurance with Ingram's injury history.

If someone has talked about it, I missed it, but are the high mucky mucks looking at any Centers in FA? Are they looking to draft a prospect in later rounds? Are they intending all their O-linemen to be utility-infielders and just plug-and-play at C?

No one yet linked to the Chargers at C, but Hudson (KC) and Wiesniewski (Oak) are Cs that would hurt divisional opponents.
