Andre Johnson was let go. I wonder if TT still has any interest. Probably be a lot cheaper now.
He was called out for having such a terrible year but 44 rec. and 500 yrds. isn't that bad when you consider who their QB's were last year.

I've always liked him, but this team desperately needs some deep speed to compliment Keenan Allen and Stevie Johnson. I'd rather have Travis Benjamin, but he will clearly cost a lot more than Andre Johnson.

If TT goes after this guy you can add him to the list of bad signings Johnson is on the wrong side of 30 and the hamstring issues he has had in the past seasons with Houston and father time have caught up with him.

TT Stay away from Johnson just a reminder in case you forgot about your other bad signings

        Donald Butler
        Donald Brown
        Derrick Cox
        Jacoby Jones

Lets not add to this list no thanks on Andre Johnson!

Free agent watch: NT 'Snacks' Harrison
Run-stuffer deluxe, in theory, would shore up poor Bolts run D

          By Tom Krasovic | 7 a.m. March 4, 2016

FILE - In this July 31, 2015, file photo, New York Jets nose tackle Damon Harrison talks with reporters at NFL football training camp in Florham Park, N.J. Harrison has made his presence felt on the Jets' defense, working his way from being an undrafted free agent out of William Penn in 2012 to a starting NFL nose tackle. NFL teams can sign outside free agents starting Tuesday, March 9. The Blog is sizing up potential Chargers candidates.

          Player: Damon "Snacks" Harrison

          Position: Nose tackle

          Age: 27

          Size: 6-foot-2 5/8 and 350 pounds.

          2015 team: New York Jets

Chargers fit: Harrison is a run-stuffer deluxe who, in theory, would strengthen a Chargers run defense that allowed an AFC-worst 4.8 yards per carry last year. It was San Diego's highest allowance in the 46 seasons since the AFL and NFL merged.

Not the best scheme?: Where Harrison's foremost strength is defending multiple gaps, the Chargers prefer a one-gap, penetrating scheme. Harrison, to be sure, can push the pocket, but has only 1.5 sacks in 53 career games/48 starts. For a team to pay him the open-market salary that he will command, the system ought to match the player.

Draft dynamic: Chargers General Manager Tom Telesco and several of his colleagues say defensive line is the strength of this year's draft class. NFL teams are expected to assign first-round grades to 10-12 defensive linemen.

Improvement needed: In the four seasons under Pagano, the Chargers have finished, in order, fifth (3.8), 29th (4.6), 29th (4.5) and 31st (4.8) in yards per carry. Their run defense, in yards allowed, was in the bottom third the last three years. San Diego's 17 rush touchdowns placed nine slots from the bottom.

Positional picture: Chargers NT Sean Lissemore, the main starter the last two years, is under contract this year for $1.75 million. NT-DE Damion Square is a restricted free agent who came on late last season to become the No. 2 nose tackle. NT Ryan Carrethers is under contract for $644,000 this season. A fifth-round pick of Telesco's in 2014, he lost playing time to Square in December.

Paying for past performance?: Harrison joined the NFL as an undrafted free agent who weighed 364 pounds, earning him the nicknames "Snacks" and "Big Snacks." Against long odds, he won a roster spot as a rookie and went on to anchor one of the NFL's better run defenses. In recent years, he teamed up with two very good ends in Muhammad Wilkerson and Sheldon Richardson. Potential employers will try to project how much life he'll have in his body the next few years after carrying heavy poundage, and whether his game will suffer absent elite ends to help.

Bolts connection: Chargers director of player personnel JoJo Wooden was with the Jets in player personnel when New York signed and kept Harrison in 2012.

Bottom line: The Chargers need to become more stout throughout their defense, especially up front. A dominant nose tackle would enhance the ends, edge rusher and linebackers. Would Harrison's ability to control multiple gaps cause the Chargers to tinker with their scheme? The chance to draft a difference maker who better fits the current scheme is a realistic option, though it may take awhile for the investment to pay ydividends.

A guy nicknamed Snacks just sounds like a bad idea.

I imagine it's hard work to make it as a starting DT on a good dline. The type of player that does that knows how to work hard on an off the field. It's not like a uber gifted player who never had to work hard...

With NFL Free Agency just around the corner, it's time to give you the low-down on which free agents the San Diego Chargers should be targeting to help improve their offense in 2016.

                    Good read.
