Powerful road grader who excels in pass pro but has played 16 games just once.

      Malik Jackson, (DT) 26 DEN
Quick and powerful. Affects run/pass. Punctuated breakthrough 2015 with special postseason.

Olivier Vernon, (DE) 25 MIA MIA

Big producer in prime at premium position, but lacks discipline and seldom dominates.

Kirk Cousins, (QB) 28 WAS WAS
Washington put the non-exclusive franchise tag on Cousins.
Not tenth-most talented but broke out at perfect time and showed premium assets (precision, intelligence and leadership).

      Kelvin Beachum, (OT) 27 PIT
Still ascending blind-side blocker with ideal athleticism, less-than-ideal size and injury concern (October ACL tear).

      Janoris Jenkins, (CB) 27 STL
Tenacious corner who plays bigger than size but must have proper support system.

      Danny Trevathan, (ILB) 26 DEN
Speed, striking and coverage instincts in space are coveted skills by every NFL team in today's NFL.

      Doug Martin, (RB) 27 TB
Devalued position, but dynamic bellcow and potential centerpiece for run-first team.

      Eric Weddle, (S) 31 SD
Production down last season but his smarts and instincts help offset and loss of range.

      Alex Mack, (C) 30 CLE
Still in his prime and the cornerstone of Cleveland line. He's smart, tough, highly competitive and dependable blocking run/pass.

      Matt Forte, (RB) 30 CHI

Age and raw tools give him massive upside; uneven but undoubtedly intriguing film.

      Bruce Irvin, (OLB) 28 SEA

Trumaine Johnson, (CB) 26 STL STL

Took huge leap in contract year. Age/size/ability suggest it could be sustainable.

Perhaps best NT in football. Powerful cataylst for one of NFL's top run games over past 3 seasons.

      Tashaun Gipson, (S) 26 CLE
Former Pro Bowler has the ball-hawking center field ability that's difficult to find.

      Alex Boone, (G) 29 SF
Mountain of man has fallen off some but can still dominate in the run game.

Casey Hayward , (CB) 26 GB
Has experience playing inside and outside. Proven playmaker who finished 2015 strong.

      Prince Amukamura, (CB) 27 NYG
Tough, versatile corner in prime with big-game experience and untapped potential.

      Lamar Miller, (RB) 24 MIA
Youngest player on list. Minimal tread, with home-run ability.

      Jeff Allen, (G) 26 KC
Athletic, versatile and ascending — if he can overcome some injury questions. Never been 16-game starter.

      Jason Pierre-Paul, (DE) 27 NYG
Rare size and athleticism. Enough time for reinvention after fireworks snafu.

      Mitchell Schwartz, (OT) 27 CLE
Solid and durable. Best RT in free agency but not at top of NFL at position.

      Chris Long, (DE) 31 STL
Production dropping but has a variety of rush tricks and can defend the run.

      Sean Smith, (CB) 29 KC
Outstanding size and press ability but comes with some volatility.

      Brandon Brooks, (G) 27 HOU
Massive blocker with unique movement skills. Still improving.

      Aldon Smith, (OLB) 26 OAK
Can't ignore massive off-field concerns or top-five rush ability, ripe age.

      Sam Bradford, (QB) 28 PHI
Pure pocket passer whose age, accuracy, paired with overall experience and strong finish in 2015 will give him options.

      Jaye Howard, (DT) 27 KC
Position versatile. Has plenty of juice rushing from interior. Entering his prime.

      Dwayne Allen, (TE) 26 IND
Rare complete tight end hasn't shown best because of injuries. Could explode in right offense if healthy.

      Derrick Johnson, (ILB) 33 KC
Dearth of true 'Mike' 'backers, swift recovery from 2014 injury makes age easier to overlook.

      George Iloka, (S) 26 CIN
Size, hitting ability, starting experience all highly attractive.

      Reggie Nelson, (S) 32 CIN
Age not ideal but NFL-best 8 picks for late bloomer who's become very dependable back-end player.

      Tamba Hali, (OLB) 32 KC
Interest proven edge rusher garners dependent on him proving he can hold up physically.

      Marvin Jones, (WR) 26 CIN
Big receiver with athletic ball skills. Entering free agency at the right time.

      Richie Incognito, (G) 32 BUF
Redemptive All-Pro in 2015. Hard-nosed brawler can add vinegar to O-line.

      Coby Fleener, (TE) 27 IND
He was better in 2014. Hasn't shown consistent hands/vertical element but 17 career TDs, ideal size/athleticism at thin offseason position.

      Mark Barron, (OLB) 26 STL
NFL trending way of undersized LBs with speed/physicality to spare near L.O.S. and in space.

      Andre Smith, (OT) 30 CIN
Strictly right tackle. He can create space in ground game and fortify his edge.

      Rolando McClain, (LB) 27 DAL
Big, rugged thumper with huge volatilty, risks invovled in acquiring.

      Joe Barksdale, (OT) 27 SD
Played multiple spots in pinch, showing athleticism/dependability to again warrant starting interest.

      Chris Ivory, (RB) 28 NYJ
Violent inside runner coming off best season has more tread on tires than most backs his age.

      Mario Williams, (DE) 31 BUF
The Bills released Williams on March 1
Terrible year in 2015. Still boasts unique blend of size/athleticism/versatility. Fit will be key.

      Travis Benjamin, (WR) 26 CLE
His speed will stress defenses. Lack of speed at position this offseason should help him.

      Greg Hardy, (DE) 28 DAL
Is he worth the trouble? We don't think so but it only takes one team to make a mistake.

It wouldn't be popular but if due diligence checks out, I would def move on Incognito. His on-field Dielman streak is missed...just wonder how he'd be received in the locker room and publicly. Has some experience at C.

Hali's old, but I'd love to have him on our team. Great skills, great team player. If nothing else, he'd be working for us vs abusing us like he's been doing twice a year for a decade.
Not sure about their dollars for us but Osemele, Trevathan and Amukamura all would be guys of interest to me. Don't know much about Harrison, but writeup and position suggest he'd command way more than we could pay, but we need a guy like that up the middle.

After the initial talk about how disappointing Suh's season was, you didn't hear anything about him. Now they are talking about trying to rework his contract because they basically have 2 QB contracts on the team and it really ties their hands.

All this talk about improving the team via FA is just that talk. Last year was not exactly an outlier. This is how FA has worked, pretty much since it was instated.

The only way that it is really effective is to find guys who are limited, but can excel if put in the right system, and you have to be either one of the teams that play the right system, or are willing to tweek the system to fit the player. And not many teams are willing to do that with role players. Teams usually want to piss scandalous amounts of money after big name guys to get complete players, only to get players who are not nearly as motivated to play, and a shell of the former player, or a guy who is marginally productive who they overpaid badly and then cannot afford to keep at their current production.

I saw on Over the Cap that the 'duhs have $80M in space, vs. the Chargers at $30M. The past few years, the 'duhs couldn't give the money away because the free agents didn't want to go to a loser org. They are still losers, finishing under 8-8 again, but they are on the right path. That should make it easier for them to draw free agents.

It's easier for the 'duhs to make a splash with that cap room... but will they? The question about the Chargers is "can they"?

Alex Mack voids contract, set to be a free agent again

When the Browns begin the latest rebuild, they’re going to have to shop for a new cornerstone in the middle of their offense.

According to Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports, center Alex Mack has decided to void the final three years of his contract, which will make him an unrestricted free agent.

He’s still considering a return to Cleveland, but getting a look at the open market will make that return much less feasible.

Two years ago, he signed a transition tag offer sheet with the Jaguars, but the Browns matched to keep him there for the short term.

Surprise, the Jaguars are still looking for an answer at center, and have room to go shopping next week even if their General Manager disputes the notion it’s going to be a spree.

I bet he wouldn't mind being in SoCal where he is from.

                  Overpay to get him.

This is the single biggest problem we have as a team. We cannot go through another season without a competent OL and the C is the key to it improving.

Profootball focus ranked the Browns OL 5th overall even after giving up a league most sacks. Most of the issues were OG related. Mack struggled early on coming off of a broken fibula. But started coming back to form as the season went on. I was vocal for him a couple months ago assuming he would opt out. Some here blame him for Cleveland's OL struggling with sacks and in the run game. But they have almost no skill players. I think Mack is a great player with a high football iq. Id be stoked to have him. Im not sure i want to break the bank for him. Im hoping if we do appeal to him hes willing to take less to be in So Cal where he is from and has family.

He would help this OL greatly imo. I expect him to be fully healthy next year.

I had high hopes for Chris Watt last year after his rookie year, but it was a lost year with the injuries. Is he still the center for our future? What you think his role is? – Doug Laricee
Telesco: Right now, our evaluation of him is no different than it was last year at this time. Like you said, last year really was a lost season for him. He was hurt in training camp, hurt again at the beginning of the season and went on injured reserve. His playing ability hasn’t changed, and we’re really excited about him. We think he can be our center of the future, and we also think he can be a really good guard.
                        Wat?

But...Telesco also thinks hes a really good GM. Despite a team that has regressed horribly over his tenure. So it shouldn't come as a surprise to hear him sound ignorant about his players. I said he would stick with this OL weeks ago. Maybe add an OT.
