This should have been a fire Steichen poll.
Steichen gets a pass when three of oline starters have been almost non existent for the first three games. The defense might be #4 for the first three quarters but what are they in the fourth? They're all gassed and gus hasn't rotated player properly. Maybe Bosa shouldn't start playing until 2nd quarter. Then we have a fresh bosa when we really need him.

Bradley gets no pass?....missing Derwin, Ingram, Tranquill, and now Harris. 3 pro bowl level defenders.

Bengals scored 0 points in 4th qtr.

Panthers score 3 points in 4th qtr.

KC was the only team to score a TD in 4th qtr.
They put up 11 to send it to OT.

Offense scored 16, 20, 16. They need to find a way to drive for one more TD in each game. And they looked like they might in past 2 games but they turned it over.

Bradley defense forces you to drive the distance. Any defense that can get pressure without blitzing is fundamentally a better defense.

No matter how gassed they appear to you in 4th qtr. They will be a top 10 defense all year. They will be a top 10 4th qtr defense all year.

They need the #30 offense to drive for 1 more TD per game with 1 less turnover per game. Guarantee that will change Ls to Ws.

Or the defense to hold team under 15pts per game all year so 16pts can be enough.
Who has it better than us?

Harris and Ingram we're available for the first three games. Now we really get to see how the defense is impacted. Like I said....the oline has barely kept pace which is affecting the rest of the offense and hence the #30 rating. The #10 defense rating is really dependent on how many more injuries we sustain before the end of the season. Also, Covid restrictions are now starting to pop up every where.

Chargers had one lead in the Panther game & Bradley's defense immediately coughed it up.
When opposing offenses need a score late in games, they invariably succeed...missed 25 yard field goals aside.

Need a stop late, Bradley is not your guy. No McCaffrey? No Okung? No problem, some 2nd stringer will be left wide open.

At least in the Patriot debacle, the Pats were acting as if every drive was a 4rth quarter drive....so no big let down there.

Ingram didnt play last week so that is false. Either way he is invisiMel and not much of a factor anyways.

Ingram was on IR for game 3. He was not there.
Harris got injured game 3. And the playmaker Derwin has not been on the field at all.

So Bradley didn't have 2 of his better pro bowl players for the entire game vs Panthers and Harris got injured late in that game. Yet the Panthers only scored 3 pts the entire 2nd half.

No matter how you explain it away.....in 3 games The Defense held one team scoreless in 4th qtr and another team to just 3 pts.

I get you see it a certain way. I disagree with you. 4th qtr defense is not a problem. Bradley is not the problem. I don't even like making injury excuses. Id rather not make rookie QB or o-line excuses. I need to see the offense drive and get points more consistently and also not turn it over 4 times vs Panthers.

Also when the offense turned it over the defense has stood strong and forced Punts or FG. And keep the game a winnable game. But 16pts isn't enough to win many games in the NFL.

Tell that to Mahomes and the Chiefs. He’s going to be replaced by Uchenna this offseason but saying he was a non factor is false.

OK, mostly a non factor. He isnt a factor near enough.

I don't have a problem with the defense in general it's just that bradley is not teaching his defenders to be organized opportunists on the field. No takeaways is a form of deficiency (except ingram). Can't blame that on the offense.

No one is saying that the D doesn’t need to produce turnovers. They absolutely do! Big part of winning games. The D is not giving up many points and have been outstanding in the 4Q.
They O must figure out how to score.

It’s not a deficiency. It’s a tradeoff with Bradley’s defense. It aims to give up less point and less explosive plays but at the cost of creating more opportunities for turnovers. Which means that players need to capitalize on the few opportunities that they do get.
