three Herbert plays stand out to me.... the wrong side ghost handoff/fake, not running for the first down on the INT, and the early overthrows....

on the other hand he ran the table on the ground running for the TD, great pass to Guyton, and added a hellah tonna unexpected excitement at the outset.

They should have trusted him from the 5 yard line on first in goal instead of wasting two downs on running plays up the middle.

Insane kicker...Making 50+ yarders like clockwork is money for the chiefs this season. If the chiefs go 14-2 it because of their kicker this year winning close one's.

There is no way Tyrod makes the plays that Herbert does in that game. Tyrod is a game manager, Herbert is a weapon.

But I was told repeatedly that Tyrod taking care of the ball would fix everything that went wrong last year. Hmm, weird. I wonder who Lynn goes with next week.

Lets see: Rookie QB starts with no notice against the Champs. He played extremely well. In my view Charger fans should be thrilled. That kid is special. Its just one loss and thats no big deal. Most on this board gave the Chargers no chance to win so why is anyone complaining.

If Taylor were healthy and played, we lose by 20 or more. Herbert was 10 times as good as Taylor was last week.

Yeah. We put up 500 +yrds with a qb that was a game time replacement for his first nfl start with minimal practice with first team O and behind our 2nd string oline . What a shit job that was. Like calling for a D coordinator to be fired after a win and giving up 13 pts.

He will drag it out as long as possible. Personally, i think he planned to go with Herbert earlier this week, but decided to spring a surprise on KC -- which almost worked, their defense looked a bit flat footed out there today.

Im thrilled to not only see him play so early but really he played an excellent game considering its kc and he probably didnt get #1 reps AND hes a rookie. He put up 300 plus yards and looked poised. He runs that play vs passing we likely come out on top but geez this kid was not a big liability and can pass well.

Id start him till he has a major blowup otherwise lets roll with him. Tyrod was less comfortable from what i saw.
