The Spanos' hate having to revamp and go looking for new coaching talent. They'll follow that MO and retain Lynn and the value of the Chargers will still rise. That'll satisfy them, they'll be OK with that. That's who and what they are. Come to terms with it.
Future With Lynn?

Let’s win one for Mack.

Lynn is a position coach in over his head as a head coach. Happens alot in this league. Rare that you find a Josh McVey type. That being said, we have a stud QB that unfortunately is being indoctrinated into a culture of losing. That can turn around, however, not with the current staff.

^^^this^^^ except the "I like lynn" part. I stopped liking him when he threw his rookie QB under the bus by saying he's a rookie and calling him a backup for a reason. there are better ways to say that without sounding condescending to the guy who gives you the best offensive output out of any QB on the staff.Originally posted by Formula 21 View PostI like Lynn. But neither the quality of play nor the results are there. And there is talent on this team.

Wait to the end of the year. See how it plays out.
He has to show something to get a new 4 year deal.
It looks more and more like everything went right in 2018, and that that was an aberration.
People leaving and being successful tells me that Lynn is the problem.
Promoting the green Steichen, and shit canning Whiz midseason, tells me there is something wrong in the organization.
I suspect offensive lineman are told three different ways to block on any given play: Campen's way, Steichen's way & Lynn's way.

It seems like Lynn is very much involved on the offensive side of the football.Originally posted by jubei View Postwait til the bye. but letting lynn go now i dont think makes a big deal because he aint no OC. he aint doing anything that could impact our franchise QB's growth.
If not, i'm not certain what he's impacting.

I dont know about Bienemy because Reid calls the plays....... but I would hire Brady in a heartbeat......he would run a very aggressive score as many points as possible offense...... and would not just be obsessed with running out the clock/TOP like Lynn is.....Originally posted by Classic View PostThis reminds me of 2011 with Norv and 2015 with McCoy. The team had completely given up and the rash of injuries started piling up. Rather than fire both HCs that same year the Spanos decided for 1 more year. My fear is this is what will happen this season and Lynn as well as Telesco will be given 1 more year.
Eric Bieniemy or Joe Brady would be excellent hires for this team next season.
