I am fine with his play calling too. Of the three leading coaches (HC, OC, DC), Steichen is the one that I think has done the best job.

My biggest gripe is the old "I right 32 dive option" in short yardage every single time we're in short yardage.

It was really the only thing to do after the way JH has produced in his first three games. I'm happy for our team - this young man could be the savior we've been wanting all these years.

Yeah Critter, I was confused by some of Lynn's statements about Herbert and wondered for awhile if he was putting his personal goals ahead of what was best for the team. But over the past few weeks I put that notion aside and before he made today's announcement concluded that the Chargers need to stick it out with Lynn. One of the worst things a franchise can do for itself is create a revolving door at the head coaching position, completely changing over staff every few years. And it's not what's best for Herbert, I think that possibly stunted his grown at Oregon. I too am pleased that Lynn stated the job is his for the season no matter what (except for injury of course). That gives Herbert the green light to play his style of QB. I think this team is going to rally like it did in 2017 and win a bunch of games and contend for the playoffs. Except this year the 7th seed gets in. (I believe the Chargers were the 7th seed in 2017.)

Agreed, the best thing to do is stick with one guy through thick, thin and even emaciated.
