Wonder if our O-line full of Uber drivers is making him better? He has no time to sit in the pocket and think so hes getting the ball out, blessing in disguise. Or could he be even that much better with a wall of an O-line throwing on target?
How Is Herbert This Good This Fast?

But he was still extremely succesful because of the strong team he was on.

Now Herbert has a way higher ceiling than Lock so I am not worried he'll flame out, but he could still face some struggles as teams adjust more to what we are doing.
because based on his progress from Oregon to today, he looks to project as the best quarterback ever hahaha
so realistically, i'm sure he'll have a few games where he struggles this year,
but moreso, next season when DCs REALLY breakdown his film, they will be ready
no QB is perfect and there are always ways to scheme against them
wts I have little concern that JH will eventually be able to full-read the field and be a elite qb for years to come.P1. Block Destruction - Ogbonnia

He makes a lot of excuses for Burrow but does not give Herbert the same as far as the lack of run game. He talks about how close Burrow has kept it against lousy teams, and the one tough team they played (Ravens) blew out the Bungles, yet Herbert has played against Myhomie and went to OT. Played against Brady and should have won and played against Brees and again should have won. Not the Clowns or Jets or whatever Schlub teams the Bungles have played against. Very shoddy writing and reasoning just an opinion based on opinion which is fine but no real arguments to back it up.Last edited by FoutsFan; 10-28-2020, 06:15 PM.

I think one thing that helps Herbert is that he is playing in empty stadiums. The way he appears to be wired, it lets him process and play like it is practice. He doesn't appear to be a player who needs to get 'pumped up' to play. This is an ideal situation, as he can learn and read defenses and grow this season without being exposed to hostile crowds (at home!)

As a Duck fan I;ve followed him for his entire college career and I never expected him to perform this well in the NFL.
I remember back when Indy was able to replace Payton with Luck and I thought, "wow, how did they get that lucky"? So now I think our team did it too - ain't it neat!THE YEAR OF THE FLIP!

I think Herbert mentions this in the recent Dan Patrick interview
something to the effect of “its just like a practice”
great, he’s going to regress when the fans come back
