The 37th pick in the 2019 Draft, Greg Little, was just traded for a Round 7.

Oversized Practice Squads are coming to town.

There ain't gonna be any Olinemen available.

With regard to depth, our best hope is for rapid development from Jaimes,
and lots of snaps for Norton and Pipkins.

I don’t see how we don’t keep 4 OTs on the 53. Anybody left on the street is worse than Pipkins.

I have very little faith in Bulaga staying healthy for very long. And it’s scary to think that when (not if) he goes down, Pipkins will need to be starter again.

If Jaimes can’t handle OT at the nfl level, then they need to find someone better to fill in for Bulaga when he gets hurt.

This surprises me.

Bulaga does have an injury history. Only three seasons in his career playing all 16 games. Hopefully we get at least 80% service from him this year.

My shout out goes to CB John Brannon. Interceptions are a skill and he has it. A good practice against SF gets him on the squad.

Or Feiler moves outside and Jaimes steps in at guard, something they have been working very hard on.

Yeah according to Steelers fans, Feiler was much better at RT than at guard so that could work.

Bulaga essentially had a year off to heal: 10 starts but seldom seemed to finish games.

I would guess he has one or two productive years left.

Some OL can last a long time and are extremely durable. Andrew Whitworth for example until last year. Others not so much. Hopefully Bulaga has a bounce back year.

Bulaga was quoted as saying that he met with Staley to go over approaching the off season to keep him healthy they ended up going with a program very similar to his 2019 program with the Packers with which he played all 16 games. Obviously no guarantees but hopefully it can help keep his missed time to a minimum this year. Just having a coach that is thinking along those lines is a huge improvement for this franchise.

Competent OL are like gold these days. That position would be the last I cut.

• I’m probably going to do more with the topic of “What you can really make of preseason games?” next week, but I was asking around on that the last few days, and one interesting principle came up: Second-half sacks can mean next to nothing. The reason why? Because offensive-line depth is really poor across the NFL, so the pass-rushers notching those sacks after halftime probably aren’t accomplishing as much as you think they are. So temper your enthusiasm for that sixth-round pass-rusher who looked great in the third quarter last weekend.

• Related: Sniffing around on the trade market, offensive line still seems to be the most sought-after position. Meaning if you’ve got a good spare lineman or two, you may be able to get a good return for them.
