If he is better than Norton - do it. Storm can hit the PS.

NCB is more replaceable than outside IMO. They won’t move Asante inside unless they absolutely have to.

Not as a tackle. He would be an IOL only here.

Not the reports I saw in preseason, as Meinerz was consistently getting high grades for his blocking. He was playing guard though and center is relatively new for him. But the fact that the comparison being made here is whether Meinerz is going to win the starting job versus the Chargers' third round pick who likely won't see the field.

I think Anderson showed plenty of blocking ability last season, certainly more than McKitty who was apparently picked to be a blocking TE showed at Georgia. The other stating of McKitty's blocking was truly mind blowing.

So many talented area scouts and GMs on this board. Impressive.

I saw 10 cuts. No surprises:
With a LB released earlier, that leaves about 16, am I correct?

You may be right. I thought Staley wanted to combine the Shanarat offense with the Payton one? And that Shane Day was brought in specifically for some of that? Or did I make that all up?

Nah. Just fans being fans and pointing out what they see. I think many here have seen plenty of football and can articulate problems and perspectives with a draft that are valid. If we are wrong -- and how we are not seeing the game right -- i.e. educating us, would be awesome.

You're probably right, though I’d argue that NCB in Staley’s D is less replaceable than in other schemes. Nevertheless, who’s our NCB behind CHJ? Campbell? Hall?

The odds that CHJ gets through the season without missing games is low. Molden woulda been an excellent pick at #97.
Our quarterback is a golden god.

                      So what combo is better
Schofield at OG and Feiler at RT

Feiler at OG and StormPIpkins at RT

Thats how I look at adding to the OL.

Feiler at RT and Jaimes at OG. Oday has LG and RG experience so they could switch him to LG and put Jaimes at RG if they didn’t want to have the rooks manning the left side.

You're not making it up, there was a long form Athletic article about importing run blocking elements from SF.
