    Hunter is going to get something like 48/4. I don't think there is any way he can be had for that number of 31/3.

    Njoku would be an interesting name if his option is rescinded. He might have a decent market too.

        I wouldnt offer a 3 year deal anyways. 4 min, 5 yrs if i can get him to accept it. Makes his cap hit a little smaller for next season and the next two seasons after and his contract is up while he is still just 31.

          Agreed - a 5 year deal where you can pro-rate the bonus out for give years and keep the cap hits pretty realistic years 1-3 would be ideal. His 5th year would be a "wait and see". My hope is Hunter Henry is back. He is 26 - prime talent at his position. They are going to have to pay to keep him. My guess, something like 5/62 if they go the five year route

          At worst, they should explore tag and trade scenarios -

                I checked LAR LBs and they are tall and long. Mostly 6+ footers which denzel is not.

                  I think this was to be expected. Staley plays a different scheme than Bradley does and probably a different skillset is needed.

                  Hope he finds a team that fits him better.

                    Lol, back to Gus in LV. Although I thought his best seasons with us were in Pagano's 3-4.

                      Yup. I hope so too. He seems like a good guy. A thumper but can’t stay healthy.

                        Perryman is a solid role player type, but lacks the great speed and/or coverage ability to be an every down guy, even if he could stay healthy, which he can't.

                        Bringing him back is one thing, but he is probably the kind of player to compete with Tranquill for the starting spot, and is really the kind of player that would only play on running downs even then, or as a backup.

                        Vigil is the same kind of guy. Solid enough players, but without the ability to be what you really want out of an every down LB.

                          I saw this tweet and looking over the list - might talk to the Rams about Brockers if he fits the DLine better. Njoku is interesting if you are not brining back Hunter Henry

                          Players floated in trade talks as teams work their cap situation, via
                          @AlbertBreer
                          : Stephon Gilmore, Brandon Brooks, Michael Brockers, Zach Ertz, Preston Smith, Kevin Zeitler, Andrew Norwell, Geno Atkins, David Njoku, Trent Brown, Emmanuel Sanders, Kwon Alexander, LaMarcus Joyner

                          Most of the rest - not interested or let them hit free agency

                          As for free agency - after reading both King and Breer with their Monday morning articles - I think unless the Chargers can get say a guy like Linsley at C, I might be okay signing an Austin Blythe or Alex Mack on a short term deal - basically don't overpay for the second guy just to make a move. There are a lot of Edge rushers too hitting the market. they all cannot get paid - same philosophy. Justin Houston or Von Miller on a one year deal - might be great value this offseason. This might be the one year that Telesco needs to be VERY patient and really let the market develop.

                          Offensive Guard - especially if players like Norwell, Zeitler and Brandon Brooks are released - its going to be a buyers market.
