Why would you cut someone who in the worst case scenario could offer rotational help for $4 mil or less per year. He's got two more seasons to prove or then cut in the fifth year. He would have to be so awful that he's a locker room cancer to be cut this early in his career. LOL!

A nice piece. The important thing Coach Hill brings up is the 'brains' thing. Staley tells the story that these two had time together on Vic's staff in Colorado, and used that spare time to 'experiment' theoretically together and war-gamed out Vic's concepts.

There was another defensive big-bang brains thing that happened 30 years ago....

“Let’s get together sometime and talk some ball.”
