I think arm length may have pushed Sewell down that board also. Maybe both players can help put the arm length issue to rest.
Slater basically dominated Young in college. Young will have a chip on his shoulder. So will Slater. Joey Bosa is helping Slater get ready. Should be interesting.
Arm length matters in choosing between two different OL who are equal in ALL other respects. Dante Scarnecchia, one of the best OL coaches in NFL history tells us it's just bullshit.

I can hardly wait to see Slater and the new OL in action. If this OL is as good as I'm expecting we'll have a killer offense.

I agree w/this but if were looking at this as tag team:
I'd prefer Slater + Bosa over Young + (WFT left tackle) Leno.

I don't see Sewell in that last. Oh yeah, his 60 grade is a bit further down the list!

                      LOL.

...and how about "Right Tackle" Alex Leatherwood?

"First-round rookie Alex Leatherwood started at right tackle and played 23 snaps in the game. He struggled in pass protection, coughing up two pressures on 13 pass-blocking snaps and failed to stand out in the run game."

I’m no PuFFer but its funny how this thread says PFF is stupid when they rate Jaimes but brilliant when they rate Slater. I think both opinions were correct, PFF is a random number generator, a tiny wizard behind the curtain … every once in awhile they fall on the correct value.

Slater and Jaimes are GOLD in today’s NFL.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
                          Let’s win one for Mack.
