What Staley has installed im actually pretty satisfied with in comparison, especially considering the decimation of our OL, DL and WR core this year….its fricken brutal yet hes managed to keep us in contention and weve pushed KC in every game hes ever coached against them. He isnt perfect but im so done with milk toast coaches we had in the past. I just believe in Staley and his teaching and culture. I dont believe injury derailing should be why hes fired. Frankly Lombo is learning too and has had to deal with the same OL and WR issues yet Herb is #2 in yards in the nfl.

if you get rid of Lombo then whom do we get thats proven? Payton is a bit of a stain for the shit he pulled…he wont come as an OC and i like Staley too much at this point as a leader. Payton …how long will he coach till he bails?
I was wondering about Frank Reich as OC.

He wont get a HC gig for a while.

Did some pretty nice work in Philly winning a Super Bowl.

I'll just grab this nugget from Coach Staley:

'I think it started with a mindset, you know; i think going into the plan, we wanted to create the vision for how we wanted to play the game; all right,
this is how the team has played through 12 games ....."

      - Lots of little nuggets like this where the grand scheme is crystal clear to me.

Frank Reich would be a big upgrade. Yes!

          Things are slowly coming together.
We are building towards a championship run.

          Example:
          (Paraphrased)
Staley acknowledged that much of what he is saying is cliched, but stated he knows these cliches to be true.

The key component is the mindset of the players and coaches, together.
If we get Bosa and Slater back, that championship may be closer than we think!

            Visualize Deano hoisting the Lombardi.

I'm visualizing him dropping it on the toe of the Commissioner's wife.

Somehow, Deano will find a way to fail even in triumph.:hello:

There were a few nuggets suggesting that Bosa may return to practice this week. I checked injury report and nothing. So I think he's getting real close. I wonder what Slaters ETA is. Moving Salyer to RT could be all we need. We can only hope.

In one thread, I proposed keeping Staley but asking him to change : Frank Reich as OC and Brian Flores as DC.

Both must still be paid by their former teams, so they should be cheap...

Flores is an assistant on Tomlin's staff. I like him. But I wonder about how he would fit the culture?

Of note is that in the past two games Keenan and MW have each caught deep balls.

                        Space is created.

Joshua Kelley is starting to come on also.
