I understand that Davis is important, but c'mon - if we're going to fall apart every time someone gets hurt it's going to be a hell of a year . . . . and Herbert better put 40+ points up regularly.

To reach those goals we have to blow some teams out and not get blown out. We played 13 one score games last year, incl Jax. L 6- W7

Close games will happen. It's the NFL. We need to improve on 54% Ws. We learned some things about clock management the hard way.

It's just a mark to reach for. The spread on D is a lot closer than O. Scoring offense can and should be a lot better under Moore.
The next several weeks are important.FAs allowed to leave, re-signed,contracts re-done, players cut, cheap FAs from other teams.
It's good to have the new coaches on board, Moore especially,to get their view on personnel priorities.

I'm sorry, but losing 1 guy (even your best guy - which Davis is not) should NOT render the entire defense incapable of adequate play. Staley's coaching (of the defense) in that game was horrendous. He needed to be able to make adjustments to stop the bleeding, or at least get his guys settled down and STOP the panic. Instead he stood by and watched Bosa implode, without even trying to protect him (from himself).

He personally shit the bed . . . . . and I blame him more than the players. He's supposed to be better than that, and it's his RESPONSIBILITY to be the leader, to be the one to stop the chargering mindset before it can get rolling. I had high hopes for him early on and agreed with most of the aggressive play calling in 2021, even when it backfired on him, but I no longer am confident he's cut out to be a head coach in the NFL, and I was very disappointed in some of the statements he made publicly in the aftermath of the Jville game.

He'll probably develop into a good DC (sooner or later), but HC . . . . . ehh - not so sure. I will be very happy to be wrong though!

Good coaches adjust, KC lost their no.1 CB Lajarius Sneed in the AFCCG against the Bengals and were left with 3 rookie CB's one of which was a 7th round pick and a rookie safety and a rookie edge playing a lot of snaps and managed. That defense also handled JAX the week before.

It's hard to sugar coat that in 2 seasons all 3 coordinators have had to be replaced, and not for good reasons like out-performing their roles and getting HC jobs elsewhere. That the team has an elite talent at Qb on a rookie deal and even with massive influxes of resources into the defensive personnel the team can't even get above 20th in overall defense rankings.

That combined with awful roster management, game time decisions and a lack of accountability shown in press conferences.

It's really difficult to sugarcoat all this.
