CB is a growing area of need, for sure. It's painful watching what we have out there when AS is hurt.

JC Jackson is going to get a $20M+ APY contract but an impressive UFA CB that would be a huge get.

Agreed that those are 3 areas of supreme need but I would not call Dean "linebacker depth" This dude will be a stud for 10 years IMHO. Also, getting our IDL through FA or UDFA has not worked so well, but I will say it's OK. However adding Davis would be quite an upgrade. That mountain of a man can clog some shit up that ain't clogged this year......

Yeah, I know Dean isn't depth. I just don't believe we need another 1st rounder @ ILB. CB, RT, or EDGE I feel are the impact positions. I see some nice LB's in the 4th-6th rounds that would add good depth to that position.

Davis would be an obvious upgrade to the IDL. But like I said, CB, RT, and EDGE are more impactful.

EXACTLY! We have 2 first-rounders, in Murray and Tillery, that haven't made an impact. They're getting out-played by 3rd and 4th rounders...

Mike Williams is likely going be asking for big contract of at least 15m or more. Cut Bulaga and that's saves another 5mil. There is your 20m.
If they really want to add him they could get him, unless he gets franchise tagged.

We can easily sign MikeDub, JC Jackson, any/all our other pending FA, extend Derwin, and still sign multiple other FA.
Bulaga cut saves us $10.75M next offseason.

I hate drafting linebackers early. They fail all too often.

I think they are going to pursue slot CB Bryce Callahan who is very good, plus Staley worked with him in Den. That doesn’t mean they shouldn’t pursue depth at the position for competition. They have plenty of money to get whoever they want. I don’t think they will resign MW. I would like them to go after Chris Godwin and Christian Kirk. He is built like a RB and has 4.4 speed. I would also like them to go after PR/KR Jakeem Grant. Going into next season with Allen, Godwin, Kirk, Palmer and Grant would be awesome. They can afford all of them as well as bringing in a CB, 2 interior Dlinemen, veteran Edge(Ogbah) and veteran Oline help(Morgan Moses, Aboushi), on top of resigning Kyzir White and Justin Jones.

That’s another $14 mil on top of the $76 mil they already have.

I hate going 2 - 4 in the last 6 games. And losing some VERY winnable games to boot. Each of the positions that are highlighted CB, RT, Edge are essential for us to fix no question. But if we find that Davis is there when it's our turn, I cannot see overlooking him for someone else. Lots of pundits here in the South say that he makes the other JoJa players look/play better being on the field. What's the saying....."a rising tide lifts all boats...." I can see that with him.

Wishful thinking anyway as I see him gone by 12 or 13 in April. Prolly higher than that. Dean too.
