If you liked a player and they didn't have issues, why bring him in at all? You already know you want to take them, what more do you have to learn? You bring in the guys with issues and you may very well eliminate them. That is the good use of the trip, eliminating guys you might be tempted to draft by meeting them in person and learning something that tips the balance.

If you have a player you like with no issues, why would you bring them in at all? It would be a wasted trip, and you only have so many. You focus on the guys with issues and maybe you eliminate them.

No. Perriman can run the full tree. Is 60 pounds heavier and faster. Better in traffic. This whole bad hands thing is overblown. Hes raw. Not just a one trick one route deep pony. He needs work but has the pedigree to become a very good player. Hes death after the catch. Hes done some incredible things on tape that Reese never could do. If hes there close to our 2nd i wouldn't mind trading up for him. You dont see WRs that big with that speed. That alone will make teams draft him high. But he has shown some serious ability that coaches would love to coach out. You put him on a team with a QB this past year and his numbers are huge. Or if Bortles was still there.

Perriman has inconsistent hands, because he does tend to pluck the ball a lot, when he catches it. And he can make some tough catches. It's not like he is a cradle catcher or something. He just drops a fair number of easy ones.

He went with speed. Calling him a WR is a stretch. I hated that pick. I tried to trick myself into liking it. But i knew his lack of hands and routes would be a quick end.

Tevin Reese brought a lot of excitement to camp last year. Too bad he didn't work out.

Reese was just a speed guy. He was productive in college because he could just blow by people. Nice, but anyone in the NFL can handle speed if they know that is all you have.

Perriman needs work, but he flashes a lot of other ability. Not sure I want him with our top pick though. We need speed, but not sure we are a good situation for a young WR to get the reps they need to develop.
