The Chargers cannot get over confident of course. I mean, the DAllas offense is pretty good.

But to have Lawrence out and possibly Gregory - their best pass rusher and another top DL player - big losses for a pretty average at best defense to begin with.

The line’s already at 3.5.

Don’t jinx us. That’s what was happening during the Anthony Lynn years and before. I admire teams that get a big lead and keep pouring it on. That hasn’t been the Chargers for a number of years. Get a lead, sit back on it…then lose.

So, I'm scouting the Cowboys....The Rams opened their season against the Cowboys last season in Coach Staley's first game as defensive coordinator. Rams beat Dallas 20-17.

Chargers beat the 2021 opponent in their opener 20-16.

I have not been impressed with the Cowboys coaching staff from the look I've taken.

HBO's Hard Knocks gave Cowboy fans (and folks like) me a chance to see McCarthy a (little) bit from the inside. The guy is the most un-inspirational, unqualified guy. I was shocked.

In Dallas the HC role doesn't do much...the protocol is set up for OC, DC and ST coaches to be czars of their respective units. So McCarthy has a very limited role, but he even screwed that up with trying to kick a 60 yard FG with a recently injured kicker...and two refusals to go for it on 4th down that were pretty obvious.

Meanwhile ...
-their OC is good,
-DC is a good teacher/manager but dated with scheme.

I think the Chargers O will be able to do whatever they want against the Cowboys D. Hopefully the Chargers D can make them one dimensional. Zeke didn't do anything against the Bucs, but I do worry about the Chargers run D. Cowboys K was awful against the Bubs. Should be a good game, I saw some books had the Chargers at -2.5, I had to jump on some of that.

Elliot only had 33 yards or so week 1. Either he's on the decline or he's gonna be well rested for us. Then again he had a whole off season to rest.

Just read DeMarcus Lawrence injured his foot today in practice. Status for Sunday unknown.

Someone earlier posted that the WFT RB hurt us pretty good. Uh no - he decidedly did not hurt us good. He had one good breakaway run, that can happen in the NFL. Other than that, he got not much at all. LAC Defense is #6 in the league first week in yards allowed. And they have to play much better?

they simply need to do what they do. Trust me, with this coaching staff they WILL get better. But they did just fine. this isn’t going to be a 3.5 pt game - i smell a blowout coming.

TB defense is great at stuffing the run and they score so many points that you are forced to throw the ball.....

Thats a big loss for them. Good pass rusher. Put the pedal down and go after them - take advantage of the weakness
