I fully expect to never see another illegal motion penalty this season.

If that shit wasn't fixed and drilled ad nauseam this week, I will be sorely disappointed.

Hope we find out we have a diamond in the ruff in Forrest Merrill we normally have that Undrafted FA, from Gates, Maclom Floyd, Kris Dileman, and Austin Eckler I know there are others but these are the ones that made a significant impact

A guy like Jordan Phillips, been hurt a lot, given a terrible contract by AZ - is probably on the outs with them since they are doing fine. Granted, AZ would have to pick up 80% of the tab and the draft pick would be a 7th at best.

picking up one or 2 of those guys could help depending on how our current DT's do tonight.....

A little surprising...I thought Justin Jones was close to returning, he's already missed a few weeks and it was thought for awhile he could play this week. As for Murray, he must have injured his ankle more severely than realized. I don't know how this impacts the defense really though, except for weakening the depth. Tranquil and White seem to be a bit ahead of Murray assimilating the new defense anyway and the unit should be fine with them starting. Amen Ogbongbemiga might see some snaps. Jones is a decent player, but losing him for a time is not a major blow. We still have Tilllery/Joseph and we have some decent young beef to fill out the DT depth.

Our run defense was really bad before...... will this make our run defense even worse, or are the 2 new guys more pure run stuffers?

I hear you Velo. What I am encouraged about is that win or lose, I think the Chargers finally have an outstanding HC and QB combo. And that means that for the long run, we fans have much to be excited about, even if we lose a few frustrating games this season.

For those talking about being tied with the Bengals for best record, my reaction is (other than it is fun and nice to talk about considering our past) this: do you seriously think the BEngals will make the playoffs? September records don’t mean a lot.

Disagree. See Bolt’s recent September record and the difficulty they had overcoming it. September games count the same as December games.

Tranquil has played well...... but we have consistently given up over 170 yards per game(as in every game) due to bad angles, and bad tackling....etc and lack of dominating DT's.....
